Pendulo Studios' Runaway: A Road Adventure has been chosen as the best PC Game of the Year during the Digital Awards evening arranged in conjunction with the Samsung World Cyber Games Championship. The jury was made up of journalists from the specialized press, members of the multimedia producers association (APOM), Bertrand Amar of Canal J and Jean Claude Larue, president of SELL.
Some new screenshots (8 in all) from The Adventure Company's upcoming Jack The Ripper have just been posted over at Gamer's Hell. Jack The Ripper, which puts the player in the shoes of a young late Victorian news reporter hot on the trail of the infamous serial killer, is set for release in mid-January 2004.
Although Broken Sword 3's release date was originally due in October, Charles Cecil of Revolution told Adventure Gamers today that this is currently not finalized. At the moment, the scheduled release date for the game is early November, both for the European and US market, although these are decisions of the respective publishers.

Legacy Interactive announced today the release of the demo version of their upcoming Law & Order II: Double or Nothing. The demo gives players a first taste of the new game, including exploration of the investigation and trial proceedings.
Hal Barwood, a veteran designer/producer of PC games is leaving LucasArts, where he has worked since 1990. He's worked on many LEC games, most recently RTX Red Rock. His most notable credit is as producer and project lead on the classic adventure Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis, and before his work with LucasArts he worked on many prominent Hollywood projects, including Close Encounters with the Third Kind.
