German developer House of Tales needed a bigger house to accommodate the new staff being hired to work on the upcoming adventure thriller Overclocked. After recently relocating the studio to Bremen, the company announced today that its graphics, programming, and public relations divisions have already been expanded, and that "additional capacities are being created to satisfy the increasing demand for the content and story services provided by HoT."

Start-up publisher Meridian4 have announced their newly opened online store complete with a couple of adventure games. The adventures available for pre-order, are Daemonica and a children's adventure called Great Journey.

Just when you thought you'd bought enough underwear to get you through Scratches, it's time to head back out to gear up for Barrow Hill. Independent UK developer Shadow Tor Studios announced today that its Celtic-themed horror adventure has gone gold and is now available for preorder.

Moscow-based Step Creative Group announced today that it is working on a sequel to last year's third-person adventure game, Evenings on a Farm Near Diakanka. The sequel, currently dubbed Evening on the Eve of Ivan Kupal Holiday by its developers, features some of the same characters as its predecessor, and the game world has been significantly enlarged.

Christopher M. Brendel, creator of Lifestream and Shady Brook, has changed the name of his upcoming game, Awaken. It is now to be released under the name Stonewall Penitentiary. The game's site has also been moved to a new location.

After a public voting process the winners of the AGS Awards for 2005 have been announced. Leading the pack with four gongs from the community-run ceremony dedicated to games made using Adventure Game Studio was the fourth of the Ben Jordan games, Horror at Number 50, while Adventures in a Galaxy of Fantabulous Wonderment and Mind's Eye each picked up two awards.

Telltale Inc., the developers behind Bone and the highly antipated Sam & Max adventure game, announced today that they have closed a deal with the investment forum Keiretsu Forum. This deal raises Telltale's total seed funding with $825,000, bringing it up to a total of $1.4 million. This is indeed interesting news, as the company, originally formed by former LucasArts veterans, is one of the most prominent adventure game designers today.

With the release of CSI 3 Dimensions of Murder quickly approaching, there hadn't been much officially revealed about the game until today. However, Ubisoft has now released the first few details about the upcoming title from Telltale Games.

While eternally waiting for the release of Runaway, adventure fans in the UK can now begin looking forward to its sequel. Ascaron Entertainment announced today that it has acquired "exclusive UK sales and marketing rights" from French publisher Focus Home Interactive for Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle and the sequel to Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Silver Earring.
