The first screenshots of the upcoming The Longest Journey-sequel Dreamfall have appeared in the UK edition of PC Gamer. One of the images shows a more developed version of the concept screen we posted in December.

Adventure Gamers' own Josh Roberts, who also writes the Adventure Architect articles (you have read the latest part, haven't you?), is looking for an animator for Wild West-set game Rise of the Hidden Sun. So, if the idea of creating character walk-cycles and in-game animations for a hotly anticipated and extremely promising adventure game (me? biased?) appeals to you, head on over to the 'Help Wanted' page on the Chapter 11 Studios website.

A new demo of developer Revistronic's The Westerner is now available in German languange voiceover. This 216MB demo is about three times as big as the original Spanish demo, features an introduction as well as more puzzles, and can be had from mirrors at Gamer's Hell.

Developer Buka and distributor Saturn+ have just released a second demo for the horror themed adventure Midnight Nowhere. The 216MB demo features new content and is now in English, and can be downloaded from 3D Gamers, Worthplaying, or Gamer's Hell.

Videogameslife.com has just given Midnight Nowhere a score of 21:

[image=1746]Although it's been known for some time that Myst IV was in development, Ubi Soft today officially announced the project and its full title. The game will be developed by Ubi Soft's own Montreal studios, which is known for developing games such as Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Splinter Cell.

Gamespy has put Syberia II through its test, giving it a particularly detailed review and an overal score of 3/5 stars:

Rapid Adventure Game Development, or RAGD, aims to allow game development without the need for any coding, with all game mechanics available through a GUI (Graphical User Interface, if you were wondering).

The Adventure Company in partnership with developer Streko-Graphics Inc. has just launched the official site for Aura: The Fate Of The Ages, a classic point-&-click first person adventure scheduled for simultaneous release in Europe and North America for this June (Q2 2004) with a projected ESRB rating of E (Everyone).

[image=1719]White Birds Productions, the new studio headed by Syberia creator Benoit Sokal, has posted a new piece of concept art for their game Lost Paradise. It is an initial study for two female characters that the player will meet at the beginning of the game.

The official Uru: Ages Beyond Myst site has just announced Myst Uru: The Path of the Shell, the second expansion pack to adventurers who own a copy of Uru. No word yet on the specifics in this add-on, but according to the announcement it is slated for release on June 23 and will be the third chapter in the story of Uru and its fictional world of D'ni, and will include maps previously reserved for Uru's multiplayer project, Uru Live, which was cancelled in part due to lack of player subscription.
