Today, the ScummVM team released the latest version of their adventure game interpreter. ScummVM, which is available on a multitude of platforms, allows users to run various classic adventure titles on modern systems. In addition to supporting LucasArts' SCUMM-based adventure titles, ScummVM is compatible with games such as Simon the Sorcerer, Beneath a Steel Sky, and, with the release of 0.6.0, Flight of the Amazon Queen.

Pendulo Studios has sent us some concept drawings of their upcoming sequel to Runaway: A Road Adventure. The images show a speedboat, a flock of gulls resting on a seaplane and a scuba diver. Will Runaway 2 leave the road behind in lieu of a more nautical adventure?

Hiding Buffalo are looking for beta-testers for their upcoming online adventure, titled Gumshoe Online. Gumshoe Online, as the name states, is an online adventure, played entirely through a standard Internet browser, and has been designed to appeal to adventure gamers, crime fans and Internet users alike. The game aims to recreate the 'film noir' feel of movies such as L.A. Confidential, The Maltese Falcon and Chinatown.

Pirate Fry 2: The Hand of Anturus, the sequel to the popular Pirate Fry and Volcano Island and prequel to the strangely already-completed Pirate Fry 3: The Isle of the Dead, was recently released by Squinky Productions. Pirate Fry 3 was released last October after its creator decided to put Fry 2 on hold for a while. Confused fans can now get the missing middle chapter from Squinky Productions' download link.

Ubi Soft today announced the third addition to the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation series, titled CSI: Miami. The game is slated for a Winter 2004-05 release.
