Any fan of Sierra adventures will tell you that the worst thing about Sierra's SCI adventures is the timer bugs that prevail in many games, making some games unplayable on even a slow Pentium. Slowdown utilities have been unable to address the problem so far, but an astute fan has finally devised a fix.

Spector Studios today announced the publishing agreement for the release of Bonzo: Escape from Olympus in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Also, the publisher is currently working to publish the game in other areas. The game was published in Russia last fall.

Rand Miller, co-creator of Myst, has just announced on the URU forums that the decision has been made to pull the plug on URU Live, the massively multiplayer component of the latest game in the Myst series.

Nucleosys, developers of independent mystery adventure Scratches -- the first commercial adventure ever developed in Argentina -- today updated their website with some interesting new stuff. Most importantly, the story page of the game has been expanded with new details; also, a music deal with black ambient band Cellar of Rats has been announced.

The party's over, and the results for this year's AGS Awards – the biggest awards ceremony for Adventure Game Studio games – are in. Leading the field was Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw, with 5 Days a Stranger, but there was some stiff competition from both Apprentice and The Adventures of Fatman. There was also a special lifetime achievement award for Chris Jones, and even a couple of awards for our very own David Gilbert!
