Gamer's Hell has reviewed Mysterious Journey 2 (Schizm 2 in Europe), giving it a score of 7.5.

Computer and Video Games has done a brief interview with Michael Stemmle of LucasArts about the zany adventure game sequel Sam & Max: Freelance Police.

GameSpot has reviewed Journey to the Center of the Earth, giving it a score of 6.1, and calls it "marred by bugs, design problems, low production values, and general sloppiness that usually overshadow its genuine charms".

The playable demo for developer Revistronic's The Westerner is now available to download. Originally released in Spain and soon to be launched in most European countries sometime next month (no news yet on a North American distributor), The Westerner is a real-time 3D point-&-click adventure set in the Wild Wild West, with graphics approaching the quality of such CG movies as Toy Story. Tri-Synergy has just informed us that the release date of the long-awaited adventure Midnight Nowhere has been pushed back to February, in order to allow some time to generate more publicity. Mindscape today announced that they will distribute Schizm II: Chameleon, (known as Mysterious Journey II: Chameleon in the US), to European stores this February.

Cinemax, an independent Czech development house, has just released the playable demo of In The Raven Shadow, their adventure game done in the classic 2D point-&-click style. The game's story follows a young monk looking for the meaning of life while at the same time trying to clear his name of a spite of which he was wrongly accused. The demo lets the play experience the first few moments of the game and story, after which the entire game can be unlocked upon purchase of a registration code through the game's official site.

A Chicago Tribune article, "Video game music gains recognition", talks of the increasing importance of music in the industry. It also gives a nod toward an upcoming game in the Myst franchise.

Razbor Studios told us today that their upcoming point & click, Legacy: Dark Shadows, is due for release by the end of February, and in that occasion, a new trailer is available from the game's website.

Reviewgamer.com has just reviewed Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, giving it a score of 7.8/10.
