Steve Ince, writer and game designer on Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon and a range of other Revolution titles, has announced that he's now available for freelance work. The news comes after Revolution's MD Charles Cecil told CVG that market conditions are forcing the York-based studio to downsize and concentrate on smaller projects.

We've got ahold of three new screenshots, depicting the upcoming Runaway 2. The first game was one of the more successful traditional adventure games in recent years, and was also very well received in the adventure gaming press. Fans of 2D point & click'ers and good adventure games in general should definitely look out for this title.

Ubisoft today announced the final expansion pack for Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, titled The Path of the Shell. The third piece of the game will be available on July 13th at the price of $19.99. Also a box set with the complete Uru saga was announced, titled Uru: Complete Chronicles, including Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, To D'ni and The Path of the Shell.

IGN has posted their 'Best of E3 2004' feature, naming, not surprising, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey as the 'Best PC Adventure Game'. Gamer's Hell has just uploaded several new screenshots from Funcom and Ragnar Tornquist's upcoming Dreamfall, which is scheduled for release late in 2005.

A 256-colour fan-made remake of the LucasArts classic Maniac Mansion has been released by LucasFan Games, the team behind The New Adventures of Zak McKracken, another LucasArts fan-game. More details and a download link can be found here. A short review of the game can be found here.

X-treme Gaming Radio have posted their preview of Missing, the upcoming horror adventure to be released in North America this summer by The Adventure Company. Missing was originally released by Ubisoft in Europe last year under the title In Memoriam.

GameSpot has bestowed upon Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman's hallowed Day of the Tentacle a well-deserved spot in its ongoing Greatest Games of All Time feature. The article is slightly spotty (for examples, it neglects to mention co-designer Grossman), but has nothing but praise and fond memories for the classic game.

The Adrenaline Vault has interviewed Jonathan Boakes, founder of XXV Productions, discussing the second Dark Fall game, subtitled Lights Out. The article also includes a brief synopsis of the history of adventure games. The game is scheduled for release this summer.
