THQ announced today that the release of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon for PS2, Xbox and PC on 14th November, will run alongside a real and virtual 'game signing' by Charles Cecil, MD of Revolution Software, the game's creator.

The BAFTA Games Award nominees for 2003 have been announced. Among the nominees are two adventure games, namely Uru: Ages Beyond Myst (oddly listed under "strategy") and Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, which has been nominated for no less than three categories.

GameSpot has interviewed Josh VanVeld of High Voltage and Alex Rodberg of Vivendi Universal about their upcoming Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. The newly announced adventure game will be the seventh in the legendary Leisure Suit Larry series.

GMX Media has announced that it has secured the rights to publish Frogwares' PC adventure Journey to the Center of the Earth in the UK, Scandinavia, and Portugal. Journey is being published in the US by Viva Media. GMX has previously published The Watchmaker in the UK, and holds the publishing rights there for Runaway: A Road Adventure, but continues to delay the game indefinitely.

Nucleosys has announced their upcoming mystery adventure Scratches, scheduled for release in 2004. The game is a first-person adventure game, that's combining inventory-based and deductive style puzzles to immerse players in the storyline.

Developer David Sykes lets us know on the Revolution forum that Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon has gone gold in Europe. Going gold means that the game has been burned to the final master disk. Copies should be in stores from November 14.
