The president of LucasArts, Simon Jeffery, has abruptly resigned, says the LA Times. A LucasArts spokesperson could not comment on who will replace Jeffery, nor on his motivation for resigning.

A press release from UbiSoft announced that world reknowned artist and musician Peter Gabriel will be providing original music for the upcoming adventure game Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. Gabriel will contribute his song 'Burn You Up, Burn You Down' for the November release of Uru, but will also create the original soundtrack for the next game in the Myst series.

Got Game Entertainment announced today that the adventure Conspiracies has gone gold. Originally a Greek adventure, and produced by Anima PPD-Interactive, Conspiracies is a detective crime story set in a futuristic world with dozens of characters and non-linear puzzles.

Viva Media announced today that the adventure game, Journey to the Center of the Earth, the latest title published under its Viva Adventure label, will ship on October 6, 2003 to US stores. In the game, you take on the role of Ariane, a determined, young journalist, who falls into the scoop of a lifetime when she discovers an unknown world far below the Earth's surface.

Microïds, the developer and publishers of Syberia, has acquired the games subsidiary of Wanadoo. With this operation, Wanadoo becomes a shareholder to a total value of 12% of Microïds. Wanadoo's core business consists of internet media services and broadband internet access in France, the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
