Veteran game designer and Leisure Suit Larry creator Al Lowe has posted an update on his website concerning the continueing saga of his possible involvement in Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. The eighth (technically seventh) Leisure Suit Larry game is currently in development at High Voltage without Al Lowe, but a massive fan outcry resulted in Vivendi contacting Lowe for neagotiations. However, Vivendi turned silent for a few months, only to get back in touch with Al Lowe this week. Here's what he has to say:

The playable demo for developer Revistronic's The Westerner is now available to download. Originally released in Spain and soon to be launched in most European countries sometime next month (no news yet on a North American distributor), The Westerner is a real-time 3D point-&-click adventure set in the Wild Wild West, with graphics approaching the quality of such CG movies as Toy Story. Tri-Synergy has just informed us that the release date of the long-awaited adventure Midnight Nowhere has been pushed back to February, in order to allow some time to generate more publicity.
