Normally the words you least want to see on a screen are "your computer might be at risk," but there's one exception: when it's an upcoming first-person narrative puzzler by that name.

Many (fictional) tragedies have occurred in pursuit of eternal life, but rarely have so many happened to one family, as they do in The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, a live-action Japanese mystery from h.a.n.d. and Square Enix that is due to arrive this spring.

Besides visiting Adventure Gamers, most of us spend way too much time online. Breaking free from that trap and rediscovering the real world is the challenge in Land of Screens, a short new adventure from the creators of Half Past Fate that has just been released on PC and Switch.

It seems wherever humankind is destined to go, we'll have a hard time getting along. Even if it's a small colonized moon in a faraway solar system, as is the case in indie Italian developer Max Rudy Magni's upcoming sci-fi puzzle adventure, A Whisper in the Twilight, which is currently on Kickstarter in need of support.

Indie Turkish developer Tonguç Bodur has carved out quite a niche for himself with a variety of atmospheric exploratory adventures over the years, most notably the Drizzlepath series, but they've largely been limited to PC. Now, however, one of Bodur's other adventures is making its way onto consoles in the form of The Dead Tree of Ranchiuna.

Often supernatural mysteries involve spirits who continue to linger here in our realm even after their deaths due to some unfulfilled purpose. In Indigo Studios' upcoming Lucidus Mortem, however, it's we who must travel to the other side to rescue the soul of one dearly departed.
