Your Computer Might Be At Risk this summer

Normally the words you least want to see on a screen are "your computer might be at risk," but there's one exception: when it's an upcoming first-person narrative puzzler by that name.

The game follows two narratives told in parallel. The first is of a father who mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago, while the second sees his adult son following his trail in order to unravel what happened so many years earlier. For the player, what that means is that you'll find yourself "locked up in a room after a mysterious car accident" and spend most of your time forced to "figure out how to escape while surviving dangerous trials and solving dozens of puzzles."

Created by indie developers Tenebris Studio and inspired by the giallo style of fictional thrillers, Your Computer Might Be At Risk promises a story about "wrong decisions" and "a plan that almost worked out" but now needs to be concluded two decades later. The game blends fixed first-person puzzle views with free-roaming exploration of diverse environments ranging from "the real world to dreamlike stages," all presented via highly stylized 3D graphics and "animated video cutscenes created from real video footage." There will be many puzzles with "unique and interesting mechanics" to solve along the way, several of which are teased in the game's introductory trailer.

There is currently no firm target release date for Your Computer Might Be At Risk, but the game is due out sometime this summer for PC (Steam), Switch, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
