Pretty brutal game. Really surprised me. The endings are satisfying. I enjoyed every minute of this game. Decent puzzles, characters, voice acting, locations and most importantly the unraveling of the story. It really deconstructs the “chosen one” trope.
Don’t miss out. Well deserved 4/5.

Cammeta
So you play as a liar, both in your professional and personal life. You get dropped into a leaked database with the first searchterm “love” and on you go into the rabbithole. The most interesting story imo was the camgirl. How it turns out is really meta-like, kudos for that one. If you liked her story you’ll like this one. The different endings gives some sort of closure. The main ending is both predictable and tragic.
Oh yeah, please encrypt the video filenames in the future? After the ending i just went to the folder and watched the remaining vids. Any motivation to unlock the other vids is just gone.
As for gameplay, i didn’t like that you had to rewind manually. Takes too long. Also didn’t like that the searchterms places you into the exact moment when the person says the word in the video (keep rewinding to get the whole video gets tiresome after x time). Silent moments can get annoying after a while (the videos are conversations between two parties, you only hear the one side. It’s up to you to find the counterpart vid).
Acting was really great. Superb.
Anyways, def worth playing. 3,5/5

A short interesting walk
Interesting story. Puzzles are not that hard,it’s more of a walking simulator with some scares. When you piece the story together, you get a clear picture of what’s going on. I guess you can interpret the ending in 2 ways (hint remember the first time he went into the bathroom (hands) + taperecorder at ending =????:).
Anyways, it’s worth checking out. It’s really short though, finished it in 3 hours.

(G.E.F.Q!!) = Generic Eldritch Fetch Quest
Good
- Good voiceacting
- Great artwork & locations
- Decent length
- I really can’t think of anything else..how sad
Bad:
- Boring puzzles and “fetch” quests. There are some puzzles that stand out in difficulty but honestly it’s all so forgettable.
- Generic Eldritch story with a terrible ending.
- Boring characters, except maybe Bob Olmstein. But yeah that also turns out in a major disappointment.
- Not funny.
- Where’s the memorable music?
Conclusion: if you are expecting something out of the golden age of adventure games you’ll be severly disappointed. The game’s not funny and more importantly NOT FUN. The story is a mess followed by “a buy the sequel ending to find out”. No thank you.

The talking detective
You hardly get any “real” puzzles (no inventory..yikes!) so you are left with your keen detective senses (touch, seeing, talking) to track down the culprit(s). The cases were pretty interesting although i got the feeling the creator was pushing some of his agendas on the player. I mean i have no problem with it but it felt forced (gays, interracial relations,...). As for the general story, it was a pretty anticlamitac ending. The interesting cases thankfully make up for it
As for voiceacting, scenery, music..all top notch except the sidekick sometimes became really annoying. It made me click less to observe the items in the room as he would say the same tiresome cynical things.
Anyways, good game if you like to play as a detective. Def worth checking out. 3,5/5

Down down ...
down you go in this AMAZING rabbithole. If you love the internet, this is for you. If you like thinking logically, this is for you. If you love adventure games, you would be a fool not to check this out.
Absolutely amazing feeling surfing the HypnOs, catching hackers and scammers and earning hypnocoin, cheating (yes you can actually skip certain puzzles if you got the skills^^), getting to know the people behind the hypnosites and much more. The environment, mood and music is absolutely godtier. I haven’t felt like this in a loooong time. TLDR everything is PERFECT. GO BUY IT!!!

Cyberpunk on acid!
It’s another oneman-made adventure game and this one really stands out!
Good:
- The style of the game. You can feel alot of effort went into making it.
- Great soundtrack, it sounds alot like Deus Ex.
- Christian miller, the creator did the voiceacting of the protagonist and the robotic ally. Now the protagonist was decent but the voice of Proto-j(esus) was amazing. The Six Billion Dollar Bawler sounded like a pissed off hilarious gangbanger robotic teenager. He just nailed the voice, it was perfect!
- Great action scenes and puzzles.
- Interesting characters, locations and technology.
- Cyberpunk on acid = I don’t think you are meant to take everything seriously. I mean robots being pregnant, old telephone booths in an era where consciousness gets created, hacked nicotine ciragettes,etc.. it’s just REALLY WEIRD and gets helluvalot weirder in the end. But it just WORKS. Still it does have some serious and disturbing scenes.
Bad:
- The story starts in the right direction but ends up being generic.
- Lots of the dialogues are huge blocks of texts. It can get tiresome when you don’t hear short human responses but speeches about the inequality of the world (99% vs 1%).
- The allies (4) can get in your way when you need to click something. Yeah you can tell them to get out of your way but it’s annoying to have to do this everytime.
- Pop culture references are just weird and don’t work because i still think it’s happening in the future while it isn’t (it’s the year 2038 in the game..i know right) and they talk about game of thrones, bruce willis, Mr Robot,etc..Also parodies on names like Clinton, Bush.
Conclusion: Amazing game! I love cyberpunk theme games and Neofeud has def. some Altered Carbon & deus ex influences. Anyways, check it out! 4,5/5. A sequel is being worked on, so hooray!

Repentant
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on Aug 12, 2018 | edit | delete
Short but REALLY intense!!
Wow what a ride! Oliver, the wife beater from the prequel “little kite” is back! He’s not the 2 dimensional cliché bore like in the previous game. Repentant is pretty short (1-2 hours) but it’s so intense! You just gotta know what happens next.It could’ve easily be an episodic game, with different characters like Christina. The music, art and voice acting is top notch. Anyways, i really recommend it. 4/5
Now something else, warning spoilers ahead!
I love LOVE the ambigiousness mood present in the game, yeah i’m talking about the shopkeeper! During and after the robbery fiasco you find some horrifying information about him. An article about child abuse in the 60’s pinned on his pinboard and pictures of young pretty girls (WTF?). Now you also find a picture of a kid with his mother and written on the back 1968. So i’m thinking he was abused by his mother and became this monster. Or he’s MUCH older and that’s his wife on the picture and he’s the child abuser. He also talks about “bodies” in his phone conversation. He did try to rape Christina, so…MAN BRRRRR! Amazingly done Anatolii!
Cannot wait for a sequel or another one of his games, i’m def a fan .

Hardcore
Good:
- Lots of great puzzles and some really hard ones. Hardcore adventure games will have a great time.
- Some pixel hunting (you can use the hotspot,i never do), i kind of miss this in today’s adventure games.
- Beautiful art,locations,animations.
- Haunting musical score.
- Lots of one man made games leave an imprint/impression on the player. Little kite is no exception.
Bad:
- Too short
- No voice acting but you get used to it.
- Predictable story and abrupt ending
- Shallow cliché characters like the stepdad
- Bad translations
- Some far out puzzles like changing a lightbulb of a traffic light
Conclusion: i absolutely loved it! The puzzles really made this game. There is a sequel called Repentant, so it’s not over yet . 4/5.

It was fun playing with Chloe all the while knowing her relationship with Rachel is doomed. Both of them are. The journey was interesting : the manipulation by Rachel, Chloe’s love for her, the choices, etc.. Ultimately the story is weak but it’s still worth it to see the endcredits and laura’s i mean Rachel’s disappearance. Oh the bonus episode was great! Seeing young max saying goodbye to Chloe was heartbreaking.
Conclusion : Is it worth it, yeah if you are a fan. If not you can skip it, you are not missing much.

Urelai hopes for a sequel
Good:
-Interesting story,characters and locations.
-Great voiceacting & music
-Refined and polished game mechanics : no more right clicking to look at objects.
-The chemistry between the protagonist/antagonist.
-Unpredictable consequences from making choices and believe me, there are some difficult choices to make.
-Choose your own party: i avoided the females because they were real annoying.
-High fantasy mixed with the world done right. Reminds me of the Dresden Files.
Bad:
-An annoying bug in the bar location, leaving makes the game freeze/crash. i circumvented it by double clicking on the exit.
-The antagonist’s behaviour contradicts his endgoal: he cares for nothing, so why go all to the trouble?
-Knocking sound in some songs= if you wear headphones you feel the walls knocking which can become annoying.
-Hardly any puzzles.
-Choices do not impact the ending. You can get all endings by choosing the right answer/action when facing the endboss.
-Anticlimatic boss confrontation
Conclusion: It’s a great adventure game, filled with high fantasy creatures and down to earth people. How they mix leads to all destructive and interesting scenarios. It’s up to you to fix it, make the right choices or not..that’s what it’s all about. 4/5

Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, The
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on Aug 2, 2018 | edit | delete
Quantum typing
The story is interesting, the characters are amazing and i’ve read the killer is chosen at random making it harder to find the right one but if you look carefully at the clues it directs you to YOUR killer. But near the ending i didn’t care about the killer, i was more interested in the fates of the characters and the loose ends. Who is the little girl? Am i Dr Dekker resurrected from the dead? Is it all lies and is Jaya actually my therapist? Anyways, great stuff. Also love the casual patients like the quantum gambler and the doorway teleporter.
The game has it charms but it’s ultimately ruined by trial and error gameplay that leads to a frustrating and exhausting experience : the input words need to be chosen carefully e.g: using “kill” instead of “murder” is a no go. You are basically forced to use the hint system to go around this killing any motivation. You also risk abusing it to end the typing madness(maybe that’s the point?).
So in conclusion, i would recommend it if you like FMV games and great characters. The gameplay is really bad though. If you despise typing all the time i would skip it and watch the youtube playthroughs. 3 stars.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on Jul 31, 2018 | edit | delete
Shallow Detective
The Devil’s daughter is a stepdown from it’s predecessor. I didn’t like the heavy oriented action scenes as some of them were unpractical with a mouse/keyboard (balancing). The puzzles are great, some hard ones. The cases aren not that interesting nor are the characters. I kind of miss the obvious deduction you can make like in the previous game. This one was full of “let’s pin it on that guy” scenarios. I also particulary did not like the supernatural direction the game takes : Holmes entering a vision of the ancient pyramid, spirits talking, etc…The devil’s daughter barely has a general storyline.
So in short, if you like puzzles and can stomach the annoying action scenes (you can skip the tedious ones, but do not skip the big important ones like in the pyramid: them’s some hardcore Tex Murphy situations^^) i say try it out. If you are expecting interesting characters/stories you will be disappointed. I give it a 6/10.
Oh yeah i do not like the new voice actor/looks of Holmes/Watson.

Tacoma
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on Aug 14, 2017 | edit | delete
Way too short but worth it
Good:
- Great gaming mechanics : it’s your job to recover Tacoma’s virtual videodata and find out what happened. You can fastforward, pauze or rewind these segments. I recommend you turn off the help in the options, makes it much more interesting.
-Lot’s of detail: you piece together the story mainly by the video segments but the articles, chats, mails certainly enrichen it.
- Likeable “down to earth” characters. I would’ve like more depth and perhaps some drama between them. Still i’m satisfied.
- Decent graphics and great voiceacting
- The option to turn down “help” options.
Bad:
- No puzzles besides figuring out the security code of three doors by watching the video’s and some lockers.
- You can’t pocken an item when you pick it up. You have to hold it your hands the whole time if you want to unlock a locker.
- Som many pickable items and pretty much all pointless
- Too dark sometimes. No option to turn on lights or have some kind of flashlight.
- You can’t run.
- Predictable ending.
- Too short, i finished it in 3 hours and i’ve done all the extra’s.
Conclusion: I would recommend it if you like walking simulators. The game’s length is too short but worth it.

Only play when you are that desperate
What a horrible game!
(only) Bad :
Lots of bugs: The amount of times i had to reload an earlier save game because the game froze! Yes i was that desperate because i was curious as who the killer was.
Terrible gameplay: you have to pick a certain item or do something else (for no reason whatsoever) or the game doesn’t progress! God the pain!
Translation is bad but it’s doable.
The MC’s body model does not look like the one in the comic cutscenes (gray hair, thinner,etc..).
Terrible ending.
Conclusion: avoid it! I have no idea how this ever got greenlighted on Steam, such a terrible product. There’s also a sequel but no way i’ll try that one.

Started great but ruined by a chaotic storyline and meta shenanigans
Spoilers ahead!
Good:
- Great graphics, i’m a sucker for pixels.
- Great voiceacting
- Retro text option!
- Love the “normal/hard” choice!
- Some fun eastereggs for the more veteran adventure players
Bad :
- You could solve puzzles and acquire items that you don’t need at that point in the story which creates a chaotic gameplay. Also the check list is a really bad help tool when you are stuck in the game as some quests can only be done in a different chapter or end of the game (e.g: dad’s redemption, fingerprint chuck,etc..). Also some illogical puzzles and bugs.
- The dialog options are sometimes over the top. I always cringed when they talked about adventure games/Lucasarts.
- What’s up with the story? I had the impression the murder story didn’t pan out so they went all matrix which failed horribly! I mean they could’ve implented it much better in the story, but instead it made every chapter pretty much pointless.
- Terrible locations. All dead. The music doesn’t help either. The map you use to travel around is horribly made, it looks like it was made in MS Paint. Oh yes, they used the empty dead locations as part of the storyline..yeah right, they probably ran out of money/time.
- Uninteresting characters. Everyone in town was so bland. The playable characters too except maybe Ransome and Delores.
Conclusion : The story really bombed. The puzzles are decent. The characters are boring. It is still worth it? No, i say skip it and go play Monkey Island 2.

Creepiest scene in any adventure game, who cares about Cthulhu after that?
(some spoilers ahead!)
Pro:
-Some hilarious situations
-It has a pretty creepy “fight for your life” scene where you spend a night in a hotel where the owner is trying to stab you to death…brrr the death scenes are worth it alone!
-Some great environments and music
Cons:
- Up close the graphics are indeed muddy.
- The protagonist does look like an edited Guybrush!
- Not a lot of inventory puzzles and way too easy.
- Rushed climax/ending
- Too short
- You can’t turn off that annoying progress icon in the
left corner.
- Uninteresting story (done before).

Adventure in the Shell
Well this game really took me by surprise! I haven’t felt like this since Culpa Innata , the last sci-fi AG that shook my world.
Good:
-Interesting protagonist and the loveable ANNIE, can’t say much without spoiling.
-The story gradually unfolds in a good pace.
-Great puzzles, not that hard but any AG where you have to type executable commands is a-ok with me! (turning off objectives makes it even better!)
-Great detail and a healthy dose of tech/crew information.
-The ability to turn off movements was a great implementation. It made everything so much smoother and better. I loved that i had the choice!
-Great voice acting by crew & ANNIE.
-Really felt i was in a sci-fi game, it had that ghost in the shell vibe in space! Really awesome!
-Story is great, they don’t flatout say who dit it, but if you go through the emails etc it’s pointing all to one person.
Bad:
-Too short!
-No interaction whatsoever
-Would like to have a choice near the end
This game deserves the title game of the year! Really hope for a sequel:). A well deserved 5/5

True Detective
Good:
- You feel like a true detective: Sometimes it’s necessary to visit the crime scenes again, check old documents & interviews, etc to make the RIGHT conclusion. There is some hand holding but some connections you have to make yourself.
- Once again you feel like a true detective : suspects keep on lying to the point of thinking “was i that wrong?”. I just loved it:)!
- Interesting cases (the amount of detail that went into = like the gardens), environments, characters, etc…
- Great graphics,gameplay & music,voice acting.
- Chilling end credits, really haunting.
Bad:
- Could’ve been much harder if they included an option to turn off the “hand holding” (giving directions etc). I would’ve preferred it.
- Long loading times
- The last case was a bit of a letdown (too short)
- No replay value whatsoever, you can make all the conclusions by replaying the endings (i did that).
All in all, a great adventure game. If you like playing as a detective, this game is for you. 4,5 Stars are much deserved.

- No “much needed tutorial” , at the beginning you don’t even know what you have to do (the touch the body thing).
- Bad voice acting
- No puzzles to speak of, the only puzzle worth mentioning is the portal one.

- Seems like every act is made by different people which i loved!
- You actually have to think about not leaving any evidence behind or tampering with it, if you do you get a lower score (hehe).
Bad:
- Terrible audio production : some lines were switched, different voice actress/actor for some unfinished lines
- Story was interesting in the beginning, but near the end it was just another cliché with a terrible open ending (in this case i’d rather have closure)
Conclusion: I recommend this game to the people that love fun challenging puzzles and international locations. The story was bad but the puzzles more than make up for it

Bosch's Damnation – A Carol Reed Mystery
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on May 3, 2014 | edit | delete
Damn you Carol!
Good:
- Some nice indoor locations, can’t believe the junk some people have:)
- Fun code puzzles
Bad:
- Not much of a story, i won’t bother talking about the pathetic plot twist
- Where are the beautiful & interesting outdoor locations? One or two and a rehash of a previous one. I was getting tired of constantly being indoor in boring museums.
- Scripted puzzles: you first need a reason why you are going to use an item, therefore you can’t interact with said item until you need it (e.g. pick it up). Another annoying scripted scene/puzzle: You have to look at every item before you get a cell phone message, if you missed looking at one item you are basically stuck.
- The game is challenging, but as a Carol Reed veteran i’ve come to know all the pitfalls thus i was hardly stuck. Newcomers will feel the pain:)
- Same rehashed music & voice actors/screen actors. I def would like to see something new.
- Ugly ¨fake” looking pyramid.
- No “akward” yet funny scenarios like in the previous games.
I give it 2 stars, if you are new to the series SKIP IT(play Cold Case Summer)! I’m still a fan of the game’s style, so i’ll be waiting patiently for Carol’s return.

Samaritan Paradox, The
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on May 2, 2014 | edit | delete
Paradox indeed!
Good:
- Fun,logical puzzles except the four riddles ( I had to resort to puzzle “cracking” until i got the right answer and three out of the four answers did not make any sense!)
- Great locations (the trams moving in the background),voice acting and graphics.
- The fantasy book chapters is a really great idea: basically you have to finish a fantasy book chapter before you can progress in the story (e.g. defeat a dragon, etc) Also short but very fun.
- Profanity was limited and used in the right situations.
- Great notebook system
- Average game length
Bad:
- Terrible way how the story jumped! I got the impression the creator was stuck and completely went into a different direction. The ending was plain ridiculous! It ruined the game’s story for me and i felt cheated.
- When you “die”, you get “reloaded” and sometimes you need to repeat all your former moves (pick that up,etc). So it’s best you save as often as possible
- Disappointing villains, the biggest one has something to do with the jump the shark bit.
- You cannot decide how the story ends, you have no say in the moral choices, it’s all scripted (which is too bad, it could’ve easily been implemented).
- Rushed cliché confrontation, i’d like to see boss battles in my adventure games (you know, a la secret files).
Conclusion: i give it a 3,5 stars! I def recommend the game, the mood, the puzzles, the presentation of the game makes it worth it! Too bad about the story though.

Carol brings her A-Game
Good:
*Great musical score: it really enhances the mood of the environments you visit.
*Fun puzzles, all of them quite logical but the famous “remedy” look-behind-you corners can make you overlook some items (i love it!).
*History of Sweden, real life locations and persons of course.
*Pretty decent ending.
*Carol Reed has some fun dialogue options this time, to piss off “Bigge”^^. Also the remedy akward conversations are present!:)
Bad:
* Time-scripted events can be really frustrating. You have to look at a door before you can use an item.
* Not really linear, it can be good and bad but because of the time scripted events it can get annoying.
* Story starts of well but ends in the typical (remedy)rushed pin-it-on-that unknown villain.
Great game, i give it four stars.

Remedy – A Carol Reed Mystery
Rating by SamuelGordon posted on Mar 6, 2014 | edit | delete
Short but Sweet
I finally got around to playing Remedy, the reason i didn’t was because of the sound (it didn’t work in windows 7 and comp xp didn’t work either). So i did the next best thing, i downloaded Windows XP mode for Windows 7 (basically emulation) and started the game. I’m saying this because my experience might’ve been different because of this.
The sound was choppy, but lovely. I absolutely love the series’s music, it can be so haunting and beautiful. Seeing Carol in the beginning is interesting, i didn’t know how she started her detective thing, well i do know. Puzzles are great and actually not that hard. Everything just flows. The hymn puzzle was fun:) and Carol’s description of hardware was hilarious ( it’s a spaceship LOL!!). The story is average and kinda uninteresting. It had a rushed ending but personally i do not play the carol series for the story.Sure some are interesting or borderline decent but it’s the environments and puzzles that really define the series: the houses, the backyards, the spooky places, and it’s all real!
Good:
-Great music&mood;
-Real environments
-logical and fun puzzles
Bad:
-Too short
-Uninteresting story,cliché villain& rushed ending
-choppy sound (could be because of my WXP emulation)
It give it 3,5 stars!

Amazing Journey
Man i love mindgames and this is a great one. The graphics are kinda oldskool and i don’t know why but older graphics make it more scarier. I loved every stage the main character goes through, closer and closer to unraveling his trauma and current situation.
The puzzles are average and logical and the environments are great. The controls are something you get used to.The dialogue is funny and i felt compelled to always go back to get more conversations out the characters( worth it!).
I give it a 4,5 stars .A rushed ending, a mediocre story but an amazing presentation (it’s the journey that counts, not the destination^^)

Overlooked Gem
Amazing game, great graphics, fun puzzles, hilarious conversations. It wish it was longer (the bonus chapter was great) and the abrupt ending sucks too. Let’s hope for a sequel:)

Deponia

A Great beginning
Bad:
- Illogical puzzles and annoying mini games.
- The sequence of puzzles and trigger sequences (the store example) puts a dent in enjoying the game.
- Flat humor, Rufus has his moments but the guy tries too hard sometimes.
- Disappointing ending but with a sequence in my hands it wasn’t that bad (for those who had to wait.. lame Nerd )
- Terrible cheap movie sequences, choppy and the mouth synch is way off. Also the bum song doesn’t make any sense (maybe that’s the point?)
Good:
-Beautiful environments, Deponia has its charms
-The monkey island vibe is def here, points for nostalgia!
-interesting characters, puzzles are a challenge and satisfying
-Story is ok

Goodbye Deponia

Gone but not forgotten
The Bad:
- Some illogical puzzles and far fetched outcomes
- Uninteresting new/and-or recurring characters
- Weak story
- Terrible conclusion to the trilogy
- Too much swearing and the game is much darker or tries to be.
The Good:
- Great voice acting & music
- Rufus does some nasty things and remains a bastard
- Love the freedom to finish puzzles in a non linear way (like chaos)
- Secret Files Tunguska diss (lol!) and more references:)
- General fun
I give the game a 3,5/5, i had some fun with it but towards the ending it becomes more flat and i was starting to lose interest in the story. Sad to see it go, it was a decent game in a great trilogy.
