Review of The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker by SamuelGordon

Quantum typing

The story is interesting, the characters are amazing and i’ve read the killer is chosen at random making it harder to find the right one but if you look carefully at the clues it directs you to YOUR killer. But near the ending i didn’t care about the killer, i was more interested in the fates of the characters and the loose ends. Who is the little girl? Am i Dr Dekker resurrected from the dead? Is it all lies and is Jaya actually my therapist? Anyways, great stuff. Also love the casual patients like the quantum gambler and the doorway teleporter.

The game has it charms but it’s ultimately ruined by trial and error gameplay that leads to a frustrating and exhausting experience : the input words need to be chosen carefully e.g: using “kill” instead of “murder” is a no go. You are basically forced to use the hint system to go around this killing any motivation. You also risk abusing it to end the typing madness(maybe that’s the point?).

So in conclusion, i would recommend it if you like FMV games and great characters. The gameplay is really bad though. If you despise typing all the time i would skip it and watch the youtube playthroughs.  3 stars.
