Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Santa Fe Mysteries: The Elk Moon Murder  (1998)

An average detective adventure that adopts a realistic approach to solving a homicide case, but which is let down by design faults.

Uru: Ages Beyond Myst  (2003)

Generally overpriced for the offline game, especially considering there's no actual game in the online "game."

Mysterious Journey II: Chameleon  (2003)

A good game that succeeds in many elements other games don’t, but the game's largely inconsequential puzzles don’t add much to the narrative.

Normality  (1996)

Tastes great, less filling.

Torin’s Passage  (1995)

A promising fairy tale that just never breaks through the wall of mediocrity.

King’s Quest: Mask of Eternity  (1998)

Good idea, but poor execution; could have been so much better. A slightly disappointing end to the legacy.

The Mystery of the Mummy  (2003)

The game is afoot—but maybe not quite with the best foot forward.

Zelenhgorm: Land of the Blue Moon  (2002)

An average title that may appeal to the FMV fan, or someone looking for something that is a bit beyond the norm for an adventure game.

3 Skulls of the Toltecs  (1996)

How the West was...surprisingly average.

Secrets of the Luxor  (1996)

Recommended for its spectacular Egypt section and tough, chewy puzzles throughout.

Tex Murphy: Mean Streets  (1989)

Would have made a great text adventure, but as it is, it all depends on if you think fighting through numerous technical shortcomings is worth getting to the core: a great story.

Liath  (1998)

For adventure completists, those curious about a Russian game, and those who can\'t get enough of magic. Others beware!

Clandestiny  (1996)

This game is the type of thing that’s very fun to those that like this type of thing. Like me.

Celtica  (1998)

This is either a game for you . . . or it’s not!

Beyond Time  (1997)

This is the game to play if you’re in the mood for a watered down Timelapse-type experience.

Black Dahlia  (1998)

Enticing story and premise. Great game that combines full motion video seamlessly with computer generated backgrounds creating a feeling of authenticity.

Fort Solis  (2023)

Fort Solis is a bland sci-fi adventure that sacrifices interesting gameplay in its attempt to provide a cinematic experience.

The Dark Prophecy  (2022)

While the art and music tug at your LucasArts-loving heartstrings, The Dark Prophecy is primarily a letdown. Its lacklustre puzzles, writing, and game design quickly overwhelm the majesty of its appearance.

Intruder in Antiquonia  (2022)

The developers of Intruder in Antiquonia looked to craft a compelling mystery with an offline twist. However, a story that struggles to connect and lukewarm puzzle-solving make this game about an amnesiac one that’s all too easy to forget.

Last Labyrinth  (2019)

The puzzles make an effort to redeem Last Labyrinth, but with its already unsatisfying narrative stretched even thinner by tedious pacing and unnecessary repetition, it’s best to avoid the trap of playing this one.
