Best rated Adventure Games for PC page 41

Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse - Episode 3: They Stole Max’s Brain!  (2010)

This episode doesn't showcase the duo at their best, but it's still worth your while to continue following where they’re headed.

Jolly Rover  (2010)

Jolly Rover may not be the most original of stories, but if you’re in the mood for something short and sweet and not too challenging, this funny pirate (dog) adventure gives you plenty of chuckles and lots to sink your teeth into.

Black Mirror II  (2010)

It never truly excels, but returning players and series newcomers alike should enjoy most of what’s on display in Black Mirror II, a suspenseful mystery that takes a new route through a familiar journey into madness.

Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle  (2010)

If you loved the first half of the Blue Toad Murder Files, you should enjoy the second half as well, though the short new episodes start to feel a little like exactly the same game with the novelty worn off.

Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 1 - Little Riddle’s Deadly Dilemma  (2009)

The first three Blue Toad Murder Files are fun, quality episodic whodunits for up to four people, but they’re so short they can’t fully satisfy even one.

Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 2 - The Mystery of Riddle Manor  (2009)

The first three Blue Toad Murder Files are fun, quality episodic whodunits for up to four people, but they’re so short they can’t fully satisfy even one.

Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 3 - The Mystery of the Concealing Flame  (2010)

The first three Blue Toad Murder Files are fun, quality episodic whodunits for up to four people, but they’re so short they can’t fully satisfy even one.

Simon the Sorcerer 5: Who’d Even Want Contact?  (2010)

Simon’s spacefaring adventure never reaches the comic heights of his early successes, but Who’d Even Want Contact? marks one small step in the right direction.

Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island  (2010)

A series of small issues prevent it from shining as brightly as it could have, but its fun puzzles in a cool setting make Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island an entertaining adventure.

Black Circle – A Carol Reed Mystery  (2009)

Black Circle is another enjoyable if occasionally uneasy visit to the city of Norrköping for an intriguing mystery with the detective Carol Reed.

3 Cards to Dead Time  (2010)

3 Cards to Dead Time is a (very) lite word-based adventure that offers a gripping ghost story full of interesting characters. However, its casual nature means it isn't for everyone, and the sequel doesn't quite measure up to the standards of its predecessor.

Big Brain Wolf  (2009)

Big Brain Wolf may have its shortcomings, but it’s a cheap and enjoyable little puzzle-based adventure that's more challenging than its cartoon visuals would have you believe.

Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove  (2009)

Despite a few arbitrary cracks, Dire Grove is another (frozen) solid entry in the growing casual adventure library, and a worthy addition to the Mystery Case Files series.

Hidden Expedition: Devil’s Triangle  (2009)

A drastic departure from earlier Hidden Expedition games, Devil’s Triangle strays squarely into casual adventure territory, and largely succeeds in finding its way through.

Casebook: Episode III - Snake in the Grass  (2009)

While the gameplay takes a step back from the previous episode, the storyline and filmic qualities have never been better, and Snake in the Grass will certainly please fans of the series and every adventurer in search of a gripping mystery.

Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon  (1989)

Though far from perfect, there are enough laughs and fun puzzles to make for a happy afternoon of play. As 1/6th of the bargain-priced 2006 Space Quest Collection, there’s no excuse not to play it.

Last Half of Darkness: Tomb of Zojir  (2009)

While Tomb of Zojir does little to improve on its predecessors, fans of spooky, solitary exploration games will likely enjoy this latest journey through the Last Half of Darkness.

Drawn: The Painted Tower  (2009)

As brief and streamlined as you’d expect of a casual game, what Drawn: The Painted Tower lacks in substance, it overcomes with its fascinating atmosphere and splendid production values that make for some nice, gentle adventuring.

Pizza Morgana: Episode 1 - Monsters & Manipulations in the Magical Forest  (2009)

Whilst a lack of polish lets it down occasionally, Pizza Morgana’s debut episode still manages to be a magical little adventure which shows great promise for this episodic series.

Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships  (2009)

Like a working vacation without the sunburn, Ransom of the Seven Ships is a solid entry in the series thanks to a well-developed story with a wide variety of puzzles, although a few too many rely heavily on repetition and hand-eye coordination.

Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 2 – The Siege of Spinner Cay  (2009)

The Siege of Spinner Cay is very good, but doesn't quite make the series great. I continue to enjoy every minute with the TMI episodes, but know that there is stronger comic momentum that can be attained.

Time Gentlemen, Please!  (2009)

Its limitations still show, but with a longer, funnier, and even wackier story, Time Gentlemen, Please! is an admirable follow-up to its freeware predecessor and well worth the small fee for people who've played the first game.

The Blackwell Convergence  (2009)

If you liked the first two Blackwell games, buy Convergence immediately. It delivers the same quality story and dialogue, but with better graphics, voice work, and music. However, if you're new to the series, get the previous games first.
