Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Lucy Dreaming  (2022)

Explore the enchanting world of Lucy Dreaming; with an impressive storyline, beautiful graphics, and excellent voice acting, it’s a game worth checking out!

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow  (2022)

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow is an outstanding horror game, a spine-tingling story brought to life by well-executed graphics, music, interface, and voice acting.

IMMORTALITY  (2022)

IMMORTALITY is a complex and fascinating story that draws inspiration from many different film genres. It’s a fantastic game with a lot to offer, even if the limited influence over the story and the random order in which the game’s events are experienced could reduce the story’s impact.

BROK the InvestiGator  (2022)

BROK the InvestiGator is a bold and explosive burst of 90s nostalgia that plumb the depths of the adventure game genre for its best ideas and piles them, one on top of the other, for an unforgettable thrill ride. While it may slightly disappoint as an action game or a playable cartoon, it may just earn a place in the graphic adventure game canon.

Stray  (2022)

Stray manages to straddle the glee of playing a roguish feline with an absorbing sci-fi story and gorgeously detailed landscapes.

Attentat 1942  (2017)

An emotionally powerful and unconventional tale for the history books, Attentat 1942 weaves a satisfying, intimate mystery with its compelling cast of live actors.

Ghost on the Shore  (2022)

Ghost on the Shore is a quiet exploration game that gets progressively more intense as the plot unravels. With a focus on storytelling, players who enjoy supernatural mystery and period drama will find this to be an intriguing journey.

Dexter Stardust: Adventures in Outer Space  (2022)

Dexter Stardust is a gloriously over-the-top, Latin-themed homage to pulp sci-fi and classic adventures. The story takes a backseat to the puzzles for a while, but it has attitude and good vibes to spare.

NORCO  (2022)

NORCO is a one-of-a-kind adventure, expertly written with (almost) perfect artistic direction. The lack of frequent puzzles is made up for by their unusual quality and variety. A must-play for narrative adventure fans.

Perfect Tides  (2022)

Perfect Tides is a triumph of good writing, combining raw teenage emotions with humor and simple but abundant puzzles, only slightly spoiled at times by some minor narrative vagaries.

Half Past Fate  (2020)

Half Past Fate is a bundle of joy not only for fans of rom-coms, but for those who enjoy character-driven adventures and are looking to immerse themselves in a slow-paced, feel-good collection of human stories.

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space – Remastered  (2021)

With classic zaniness and puzzle solving and updated production values, Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space marries the best of the old with the new in this modern remaster.

Haimrik  (2018)

The unique and beautifully designed Haimrik is a fast-paced, text-driven action-puzzler with a fair amount of challenge throughout its fantastical and frequently brutal journey.

FAR: Changing Tides  (2022)

A hybrid of platforming, puzzle-solving, and systems management, FAR: Changing Tides is a visually stunning vehicle-based adventure that exceeds its predecessor in creating an intriguing post-apocalyptic world with light but engaging challenges while also giving you plenty of slower moments to drink in the sights.

Slice of Sea  (2021)

Slice of Sea sets you loose in a gorgeously illustrated dreamscape and trusts you to figure out what needs doing along the way. Its lack of direction won’t be to everyone’s taste, but if you long to get lost in beautiful otherworldly surroundings, you won’t want to miss it.

Unbound: Worlds Apart  (2021)

While its story never really soars, Unbound: Worlds Apart presents a brilliant and elegant Metroidvania type of gameplay that challenges both the mind and the reflexes. It’s perhaps a bit too twitchy for your diehard adventure gamer, but anyone who can handle a little action with their puzzles will fall in love with the beautiful art style and fun, finely tuned gameplay here.

Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing  (2021)

Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing is shorter and less ambitious than its predecessor, but its limitations result in a tighter, more intimate character-driven experience, with all the realistic challenges you’d expect from a burgeoning relationship in the middle of a pandemic.

A Juggler’s Tale  (2021)

A Juggler’s Tale lasts only a precious few hours, but it manages to pack in an inspired, captivating puzzle-platforming experience with engaging gameplay, a smart and poignant story, and a jaw-droppingly beautiful aesthetic.

Myst (2021)  (2021)

If you are a Myst fan who has played one or all the previous iterations, this is by far the best version yet and deserves your attention with or without the supported VR hardware. If you are one of the few adventure game fans new to the series, you are in for a real treat, though be forewarned that all the same divisively esoteric design elements remain from the original.

Down in Bermuda  (2019)

Down in Bermuda is a delightful adventure to play, especially if you want to just relax and enjoy some fun, clever puzzles in a charming isometric island setting.
