Titanic: Adventure Out of Time  (1996)

Engrossing subplots, fascinating exploration of the ship, some overly simple puzzles but all in all First class entertainment.

Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger  (1999)

A great follow-up to Secrets Can Kill with many improvements, including better story and characters and a more challenging premise. HI has found their gravy train and with STFD they’re on the right track!

Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass  (2012)

A lightweight fun distraction that aims high with interesting puzzle variety, Da New Guys is somewhat pinned down by its poor visuals, irritating lead characters and underused plot devices.

Shadows on the Vatican: Act I - Greed  (2012)

The debut episode of the four-part Shadows On The Vatican sets great expectations, but Act I: Greed serves mainly as a prelude to the real deal, saving the action for the sequels.

So Blonde: Back to the Island  (2010)

So Blonde: Back to the Island offers an alternate story and some enhanced gameplay, but there is not enough new content to make it very interesting for those who have already played the PC original.

Temüjin  (1997)

Temüjin's supernatural mystery story is certainly compelling, but frustrating interface issues make it hard to fully recommend this game to anyone but patient and determined FMV fans.

Dracula: The Last Sanctuary  (2001)

Better than Dracula Resurrection and worth picking up. However, it falls short of greatness

Ghost In The Mirror  (2024)

Ghost In The Mirror: Episode I — Here Be Dragons is a decent game that showcases good writing, haunting pixel-art graphics, and energetic sound. It would benefit from a more standardized menu and clearer instructions for its mini-games.

FRAMED  (2014)

FRAMED impresses with its unique comic book style and smooth jazz soundtrack, offering an enjoyable, casual gaming experience; yet falls short in terms of narrative depth and character development.

Orten Was The Case  (2023)

Woodhill Interactive’s Orten Was The Case is a good game, but has a few noticeable flaws. On the one hand, the narrative itself is incredible, and the deeper you dive, the more enticing it becomes. There are evident issues with the gameplay and presentation, but patient players can push through or adapt to them. Those looking for an absorbing tale will find much to admire in this game.

The Case of the Golden Idol  (2022)

In The Case of the Golden Idol, the mystery-solving is quite engaging up to a point. But overall, the narrative is frustratingly executed and the presentation is unremarkable.

Magnus Positive Phototaxis  (2022)

As a relatively short and very quirky journey into the minds of a distinctly unique development team—who are improving with each new release—Magnus Positive Phototaxis has many elements to recommend it. Its lack of a logical gaming structure with no really challenging puzzles means that it might not suit those looking for a more complete adventure gaming experience.

Roadwarden  (2022)

Roadwarden takes a page out of the choose-your-own-adventure playbook, incorporating combat, role-playing, and diplomacy into its visual novel trappings. Although surviving its world can be stressful, there is plenty of worthwhile adventuring to be had.

The Silent Sky  (2022)

Overall, The Silent Sky Part 1 is a decent game with a compelling story. However, some elements could frustrate players, such as the lack of a hotspot indicator and the timed puzzles.

Freud’s Bones  (2022)

Freud’s Bones is a decent game: a unique premise brought to life by well-executed graphics, music, and interface.  However, the monotonous puzzles could frustrate players.
