In the Raven Shadow

Severin is a young monk who is mistakenly caught holding some pornography. The abbot doesn't hesitate long - these are the dark Middle Ages - in trying to have him beheaded. Severin can only survive with a reckless leap out of the window. While lying unconscious from the fall, he dreams strange dreams that take him on the road to insight about the meaning of life... When he awakes, he finds himself in a forest with no idea what to do next but determined to make some sense of it all.
