I beleive that a 10-day voting (until the 12th of October) will be more than enough.

Keep the nominations coming!! Smile

Just one nomination:

Touche: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer

Is this one of those games where if you already own it, great. But if not….

I Googled it, and the only sources seem to be abandonware sites, which I won’t use. GOG doesn’t have it.

I do not understand why people nominate games that have already been honored with a community playthrough. So many interesting games to choose from! There’s nothing to be gained from a second CP of Sanitarium and The Lost Crown. Both games have been discussed extensively. In the case of the TLC the CP dragged on and on, with pages and pages of analyses without any conclusions that made sense or showed the game in a new light. In the end those analyses even managed to kill my love for the game. Finally, developer Jonathan Boakes made an appearance and told us that all the things we thought were important to the story or had a secret meaning that we couldn’t figure out, were just there for the sake of atmosphere.

Why not just play along with the first CP? I have done that several times.

On note, both games had their own AGCP in the past.

Really???
Sanitarium I could understand, but The Lost Crown is still a relative new game, it would have had to be right after it was released?

Anyway in that case I withdraw my nominations, and instead nominate:

Bad Mojo .. Oh!
Discworld Noir .. Damn it!
Memento Mori 2: Guardians of Immortality .. HA!

Because not all of us check to see if a game has been played before, before we decide what games would make for an interesting community playthrough.

So now you know.

No, almost two years later.

Because not all of us check to see if a game has been played before, before we decide what games would make for an interesting community playthrough.

My mistake. I thought you did know. It would certainly not be the first time that people nominated games they knew had already been honored with a CP.

^ I agree with this (and I have done the same).

Oh, and add my vote to Hotel Dusk and the Machinarium/Botanicula combo. Cool

It may be easy, but that’s really not the point. My first AGCPT was CCS. I really didn’t know what playthroughs preceeded it. And, to be honest, I didn’t care. So,if for whatever reason, I played Sanitarium and thought it would make a good playthrough, I would nominate it. I doubt that I would research it. But that’s me.

Maybe the start of each playthrough discussion should start with a list of prior playthroughs so that we know what games are off limits.

Could have, would have, should have .. and normally does - But of course the one time that I don’t check the list, I end up nominating two games already played before Confused

BTW I don’t really see any problem doing a new CPT, if there are enough people that didn’t participate in the original that wants to do so. Making your own playthrough reading the old post along the way is just not quite the same thing.

But I agree, with all the many games that has been made over the years, I’m personally more interested in games that haven’t been played in a CPT before.

+1 for playing along to old playthroughs by yourself. Lots of fun and you can go at your own pace.

Having said that, I am the guy who suggested a playthrough of GK1 although it had already been done once (although not finished admittedly) so I’m not against re-playthrough-ing either!
