“Well done Mr Holmes. I must admit I am impressed at your discovery that I ground my husband’s dead body into bags of fertilizer. What you failed to deduce however is that the cup of tea you just had was not earl grey but in fact made from my species of rare hydrangea, which are of course poisonous. I expect you will soon be experiencing the effects such as hallucinations of giant white cursors, among other things…”
What kind of idiot chooses Paper in a game of Rock, Paper, Shotgun?!?
- Mom? Are you sure you didn’t forget about those conjunctivitis eye drops that the doctor prescribed?
- Don’t doubt me, young man! I am sipping them with my morning tea regularly!
It was the most bizarre moment in the salesman’s career when he tried to sell Mr. Potato Head to that man.

He may have a menacing appearance now, but when he’ll enter the ring in a few seconds, John Cena will wipe the floor with him…
“Now, now, wait a minute young man I haven’t lost them. I definitely had them over by the table, and then I ...”
The money was fast running out on the meter and if she couldn’t hand over those keys in time there was no way he was going to pay the fine.

Because there were so many terrific runners-up, especially in with the Sydney Mystery screenshot, I’ve decided that each participant will get a bottle of Aunt Martha’s elderberry wine and a copy of

Thanks to all the participants. This round was a real hoot!

Fantastic round and great prizes, LK! Nice photoshop work on the 2nd prize winners
I agree Zifnab’s and all The Sydney Mystery ones were perhaps the highlight of the round, along with Iznogood’s Dobby. Some other favs of mine were Sefir’s “trapdoor”, chrissie’s “Lady of the night”, Tim’s “Nana”, Intense’s “do-gooder” and zobraks’ “Miss. Dinwiddle” (I wonder where he came up with the name).
I peeked at that Shark prize, even though I haven’t won it! And that soup reminds me of the one in A Vampyre Story

A couple of the Gothos captions had me a bit stumped until I looked up the references.
Here’s Tim’s John Cena showing off his logos:
http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=john+cena&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
I haven’t seen the Police Academy movies, but this video cleared it up Sefir’s Blue Oyster caption for me:
I also got a big kick out of Tim’s Nana because I remember that look, and Intense’s dotty old lady who can’t remember her lines reminds me of someone I worked with in a play. Sefir’s neighbor with the laser makes me glad we have good neighbors.
This is definitely a talented group, and I’m looking forward to the next round.

This round was a real hoot!
Especially for Marty Feldman look-alike (apparently he had a ball of his life).
Thanks to all the participants.
The pleasure was ours.
P.S. We all know Is-No-Good won (each &) every prize there was so you did not have to rub it in:
P.P.S. That shark is about to bite off the index finger of my pointer! I wonder how the weird guys who use a tiny image of a male reproductive organ as a pointer feel about SharkBreak.
P.P.P.S. I’d like to trade my prize(s) for some cash.
Everybody wants to be Cary Grant.
Even Me.

Congratulations to the very worthy prize winners with so many entertaining captions altogether! I also enjoyed Bonsai’s Freddy Mercury tribute - singing along I thought the words matched the pics so well!
Thanks Lady Kestrel for hosting & for the lovely prizes - I’m off to the garden now to sip some elderberry wine & read until my eyes get fuzzy!
Yay, first caption - first prize! Beginner’s luck, LOL. Thank you for the great prizes, although I would trade my eye drops for the consolation wine anytime. :))
Great captions everybody and thanks Lady K for the interesting screens and prizes!
3.5 time winner of the “Really Annoying Caption Contest Saboteur” Award!
Great round everyone!
I’m enjoying the many old movie references in the Monster Mash.
And I’m frantically looking for the ones I don’t recognize…

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
Nice round everyone, and thanks to Lady Kestrel for posting pictures and judging the round, and thanks for the soup which I just ate with the elderberry wine - Yummy, and the eyedrops which will come in handy after reading Arsenic and Old Lace. (I have only seen the movie never read the book)
What ... I also won a special award ... Why did no one tell me that ... Dobby? What has
Dobby got to do with this? ... Where is that little *bleep* *bleep*
Especially for Marty Feldman look-alike (apparently he had a ball of his life).
Hehe - well I did have some fun.
Thanks to all the participants.
The pleasure was ours.
P.S. We all know Is-No-Good won (each &) every prize there was so you did not have to rub it in:
Not at all, “only” one 1st price, and a running gag award.

Great round everyone and thank you Lady K for the nice rewards!
You’re welcome, everyone. It was fun!
Izno,
Arsenic and Old Lace is a play by Joseph Kesselring that is popular with amateur theatre companies. I played Aunt Martha for a local group when I was in my 30s. I think I look the part more now.
