CROSSROADS

Well, here you are, back in Kyrandia.  Except now, you have a Good & Bad conscious, who will guide your actions from now on.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE, and choose if you want to be Good (Stewart), Evil (Gunthar), or Neutral (Stewart & Gunthar).  Here’s how each path plays out.

         Walk right to The Bluff. 

         THE BLUFF

         Walk up to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Enter the castle. 

         THE CASTLE FOYER

         Hmm, things have changed in Kyrandia.  King Brandon, and

         Kallak, have been turned into mice, and the pirates have

         taken over.  Talk to the pirate in the red & white striped t-shirt

         a few times.  In order to prove you’re worthy of joining their

         pirate gang, you have to give him all 6 GEMS from The Isle

         Of Cats.  Walk left to leave the Castle. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Walk right to The Dump.

         THE DUMP

         Search the dump for FIREWOOD LOG, NUT-ON-A-STRING,

         BENT NAIL, EMPTY FLASK, and BROKEN FLASK.  Now

         walk left, back to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Walk down 2 screens to Outskirts Of Town. 

         OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

         Walk right 2 screens to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Pick up FIREWOOD LOG, so you now have 2

         FIREWOOD LOGS.  Walk left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Enter the Toy Factory. 

         DOWNTOWN TOY FACTORY

         Look at the toy machine - set the left lever to up and the

         right lever to down.  Click on the huge red book, and see the

         blueprint for ROCKING HORSE float around.  Throw

         FIREWOOD LOG into the toy machine, then press green

         button on the right.  Pick up ROCKING HORSE.  Repeat this,

         so you have 2 ROCKING HORSES.  Now leave the factory. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Walk right to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Walk down to The Arena. 

         THE ARENA

         Walk left to Outskirts Of Town. 

         OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

         The gate to the old Public Baths is unlocked now, so head

         up through the gate. 

         EX-BATHS

         Hmm, they don’t seem to be Public Baths anymore.  In fact,

         it’s been turned into a Pawn Shop.  Enter the shop. 

         HERMAN’S PAWN SHOP

         So Herman runs this Pawn Shop?  He’s switched sides again! 

         Talk to him a few times, and he’ll tell you what he’s currently

         buying.  Check your Inventory, and if you don’t have that item,

         simply leave, then return.  Keep talk to Herman, until he asks

         for something that you have, and then give him that item. 

         He’ll give you some SESAME SEEDS.  Now leave the shop. 

         EX-BATHS

         Walk left to Outskirts Of Town. 

         OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

         Walk left to The Bluff. 

         THE BLUFF

         Walk up to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Go right to The Dump. 

         THE DUMP

         Lure the squirrel closer to you by placing SESAME SEEDS

         onto the plank, a bit left of the squirrel.  Now use

         NUT-ON-A-STRING with the squirrel to hypnotise him. 

         Pick up HYPNOTISED SQUIRREL, then walk left to The

         Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Head down 2 screens to Outskirts Of Town. 

         OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

         Go right 2 screens to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Walk left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Enter the Toy Factory. 

         TOY FACTORY

         Jump down hole in the floor, into The Cellar. 

         THE CELLAR

         Look at the rug, and click the green apple, then the red apple

         on the rug.  Both apples glow magically, and transport you to

         Darm’s Place. 

         DARM’S PLACE

         Talk to Brandywine the dragon a few times.  Talk to Darm a

         few times, and ask him for a PORTAL POTION.  Give

         HYPNOTISED SQUIRREL to Brandywine, and you’ll get

         the PORTAL POTION.  Now step onto the rug, and click

         the green apple, then the red apple, to return to The Cellar. 

         THE CELLAR

         Climb up through sewer pipe on the right, and return to The

         Toy Factory. 

         TOY FACTORY

         Leave the factory. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Walk right to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Go down to The Arena. 

         THE ARENA

         Look at the footprints in the ground, then drink the

         PORTAL POTION.  You’re teleported to Isle Of The Cats.

         ISLE OF THE CATS

         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

         AN ANCIENT PASSAGEWAY

         Walk left to The Old Dog Fort. 

         THE OLD DOG FORT

         Pick up MACHETE, then SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Find

         your way through the jungle using the following directions. 

                  -        Walk left 2 screens

                  -        Walk up 1 screen

         Talk to Fluffy.  He’s still leading the rebellion, but this time,

         the fight is against his fellow cats.  He’ll give you a

         CHEESE-MAKER.  Now walk right to The Altar Of Cats. 

         THE ALTAR OF CATS

         Walk left to The Cat Colossi. 

         THE CAT COLOSSI

         Use CHEESE-MAKER on yourself, and pick up the

         CHEESE.  Use the CHEESE on the mouse statue in centre of

         the circle.  The 6 cat statues will change back into stone balls. 

         Pick up all 6 GEMS, then walk left to The Altar Of Cats.  Walk

         right, into the Mysterious Jungle. 

         MYSTERIOUS JUNGLE

         Talk to Fluffy, and ask how to get back to Kyrandia.  He’ll give

         you an EMPTY CAN OF TUNA.  Use EMPTY CAN OF TUNA

         on yourself, and you return to Kyrandia.

         KYRANDIA

         THE CROSSROADS

         You need to make your way back to the castle, Malcolm.  Go

         right to The Bluff. 

         THE BLUFF

         Head up to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Walk right to The Dump. 

         THE DUMP

         Pick up COLLAR.  Search dump for NUT-ON-A-STRING

         Now walk left to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Enter the castle. 

         THE CASTLE FOYER

         Talk to the pirate with the red & white striped t-shirt.  Give

         him a GEM (doesn’t matter which one), and he’ll call Captain

         Jean Claude down.  Give COLLAR to Captain Jean Claude,

         and he‘ll be summoned to play Noughts & Crosses with the

         Fish-Queen, down in Limbo.  Without their Captain, the rest of

         the pirates flee in terror.  Talk to King Brandon and Kallak, then

         go left to leave the castle.

         Enter the castle. 

         THE CASTLE FOYER

         Hmm, things have changed in Kyrandia.  King Brandon, and

         Kallak, have been turned into mice, and the pirates have

         taken over.  Talk to the pirate in the red & white striped t-shirt

         a few times.  You need to bribe the pirates to leave, by giving

         them all 6 GEMS from The Isle Of Cats.  Walk left to leave

         the Castle. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Walk right to The Dump.

         THE DUMP

         Search the dump for EMPTY FLASK, and a NAIL.  Now walk

         left, back to The Castle Gate. 

         THE CASTLE GATE

         Go down 2 screens to Outskirts Of Town. 

         OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

         Head right 2 screens to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Pick up FIREWOOD LOG.  Walk left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Look at the house on the left - this is the Magician’s Lodge. 

         Use NAIL on the door of the Magician’s Lodge to unlock it,

         then enter it. 

         THE TEMPORARY JAIL

         Hmm, the Magician’s Lodge has been turned into a temporary

         jail.  What’s more, there are 3 mice locked in the stocks.  Talk

         to the 3 mice in the stocks.  Now use NAIL on the padlock of

         the stocks, to free the mice.  They leave, without so much as

         a ‘Thanks Malcolm’.  Pick up SESAME SEEDS, FLASK OF

         WATER, and EEL.  Now leave the jail. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Enter the Toy Factory. 

         TOY FACTORY

         Look at the toy machine - set the left lever to Up, and the

         right lever to Down.  Click on the giant red book, and see the

         blueprint for the ROCKING HORSE float around.  Throw

         FIREWOOD LOG into the toy machine, then press green

         button on the right.  The toy machine will spit out a

         ROCKING HORSE - pick up the ROCKING HORSE.  Jump

         down hole in the floor, into The Cellar. 

         THE CELLAR

         Go through the door at top of the stairs, into The Old Town Hall. 

         THE OLD TOWN HALL

         Zanthia is busy working here.  Talk to her a few times, until

         she mentions ‘Essence Of Horse’.  Throw ROCKING

         HORSE into her cauldron.  Now use your EMPTY FLASK

         with the cauldron to get some PEGASUS POTION.  Go

         back down stairs on the left, into The Cellar. 

         THE CELLAR

         Climb up through sewer pipe on the right, and return to The

         Toy Factory. 

         THE TOY FACTORY

         Walk left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

         DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

         Walk right to City Limits. 

         CITY LIMITS

         Walk down to The Arena. 

         THE ARENA

         Walk left 4 screens to The Pegasus Landing. 

         THE PEGASUS LANDING

         Stand on the Landing Site, and drink the PEGASUS POTION

         You turn into Pegasus, and fly back to Isle Of The Cats.

         ISLE OF THE CATS

         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

         NORTH BEACH

         SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Pick up MACHETE.  Now find

         your way through the jungle, using the following directions. 

         Remember to hack bushes, and kill blue snakes.  Also, pick

         up any BONES you find along the way.  You’ll need 10

         BONES altogether.  Since you don’t have enough

         Inventory spaces, you’ll need to go through the jungle

         again. 

                  -        Walk left 2 screens

                  -        Walk right 1 screen

         You’ve arrived at the Dog Fort. 

         DOG FORT

         SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Find your way through the

         jungle using the following directions. 

                  -        Walk left 2 screens

                  -        Walk up 1 screen

         Talk to Fluffy.  He’s still leading the rebellion, but this time,

         the fight is against his fellow cats.  He’ll agree to help you, if

         you give him 10 BONES.  Give him all the BONES you have

         so far.  Now since you didn’t quite have enough Inventory

         slots, you need to make another trip through the jungle.  Find

         your way through the jungle using the following directions. 

                  -        From Fluffy, walk left 2 screens. 

                  -        walk up 1 screen

         Give the remaining BONES to Fluffy.  He gives you a

         CHEESE-MAKER.  Walk right to The Altar Of Cats. 

         THE ALTAR OF CATS

         Walk left to The Cat Colossi. 

         THE CAT COLOSSI

         Use CHEESE-MAKER on yourself, and pick up the

         CHEESE.  Use the CHEESE on the mouse statue in centre of

         the circle.  The 6 cat statues will change back into stone balls. 

         Pick up all 6 GEMS, then walk left to The Altar Of Cats.  Walk

         give you an EMPTY CAN OF TUNA.  Use EMPTY CAN OF

         TUNA on yourself, and you return to Kyrandia.

         THE CROSSROADS

         You need to make your way back to the castle, Malcolm.  Go

         right to The Bluff.

         Head up to The Castle Gate.

         Walk right to The Dump.

CLEARING MY NAME

THE CASTLE GATE

Now you have to clear your name, so that everyone knows you

didn’t kill the old King & Queen.  Drop all your GEMS here, except

1.  Drop CHEESE-MAKER here.  Walk right to The Dump. 

THE DUMP

Search the dump for NUT-ON-A-STRING, 2 EMPTY FLASKS, BROKEN FLASKNAIL, BENT NAIL, and FIREWOOD LOG.  Combine BENT NAIL with NUT-ON-A-STRING to create BENT-NAIL-ON-A-STRING.  Walk left to The Castle Gate. 

THE CASTLE GATE

You see King Brandon and Kallak, still in mouse-form, behind a gate that’s keeping them trapped inside the castle.  Talk to them if you like.  When you’re ready, walk down to The Bluff. 

THE BLUFF

Go left to The Crossroads. 

THE CROSSROADS

Pick up FIREWOOD LOG.  You should have 2 FIREWOOD LOGS at this point.  Go right, back to The Bluff. 

THE BLUFF

Go down to Outskirts Of Town. 

OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

Use BROKEN FLASK on the yellow flowers to get a MONKEY JUMPER FLOWER.  Pick up the BROKEN FLASK again.  Walk right 2 screens to City Limits. 

CITY LIMITS

Use BROKEN FLASK on the yellow flowers to get a MONKEY JUMPER FLOWER.  You should have 2 FLOWERS at this point.  Pick up BROKEN FLASK again.  Walk down to The Arena. 

THE ARENA

Head left 3 screens to The Crossroads. 

THE CROSSROADS

Walk up to The Cemetery. 

THE CEMETERY

Place both JUMPER MONKEY FLOWERS on the grave, to awaken Queen Katherine.  Talk to her a few times, and invite her to your trial.  Now go right 2 screens to The Bluff. 

THE BLUFF

Go down to Outskirts Of Town. 

OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

Walk right 2 screens to City Limits. 

CITY LIMITS

Go left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

Enter The Toy Factory. 

THE TOY FACTORY

Look at the Toy Machine, and make sure that the left lever is up, and the right lever is down.  Click on the huge red book, and see blueprint for ROCKING HORSE floating around.  Throw FIREWOOD LOG into the toy machine, then press green button on the right.  Pick up the ROCKING HORSE.  Now set both levers to up.  Click on the huge red book, and see blueprint for TOY SOLDIER floating around.  Throw FIREWOOD LOG into the toy machine, then press green button on the right.  Pick up TOY SOLDIER.  Now leave the factory. 

DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

Walk right to City Limits. 

CITY LIMITS

Go down to The Arena. 

THE ARENA

Walk left to Outskirts Of Town. 

OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

Go up through the gate, into Ex-Baths. 

EX-BATHS

Hmm, the old Public Baths have been turned into a Pawn Shop.  Enter the Pawn Shop. 

HERMAN’S PAWN SHOP

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Talk to Herman, and ask what he’s buying and what he’s selling.  If he’s selling the dagger, leave the shop, then return.  Do not buy the dagger!  When he offers you the CRUTCH, give him a GEM, then take the CRUTCH.  Now ask him what he’s buying.  If he’s not buying anything you’re carrying, leave the shop, then return.  The aim is to sell him 3 items to get 3 SESAME SEEDS.  When you have those items, leave the shop. 

EX-BATHS

Walk left to Outskirts Of Town. 

OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

Go left 2 screens to The Crossroads. 

THE CROSSROADS

Head down to The Dock. 

THE DOCK

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Stand on the grass knoll at the lower right, and look at the water to see that it’s shallow.  Use your BENT-NAIL-ON-A-STICK in the water, and you get an EEL.  Repeat this, so you have 2 EELS.  Now combine both EELS with 2 of the SESAME SEEDS, to create 2 FERTILISED SEEDS.  Make sure you keep one SESAME SEED unfertilised, since you’ll need it later.  Now use EMPTY FLASK with the water to get FLASK OF WATER.  Combine FLASK OF WATER with FERTILISED SEEDS to create LARGE SPROUT.  Repeat this, so you have 2 LARGE SPROUTS.  Now use BENT-NAIL-ON-A-STICK in the water, and pick up another EEL.  Head right 2 screens to The Bluff. 

THE BLUFF

Go up to The Castle Gate. 

THE CASTLE GATE

Pick up CHEESE-MAKER that you left here earlier.  Walk right to The Dump. 

THE DUMP

Search the dump for another EMPTY FLASK.  Now walk left, back to The Castle Gate. 

THE CASTLE GATE

Walk down to The Bluff. 

THE BLUFF

Walk down to Outskirts Of Town. 

OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN

Head right 2 screens to City Limits. 

CITY LIMITS

Enter The Dairy. 

THE DAIRY

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Throw 2 LARGE SPROUTS into the hopper on the left.  The cows race in, eager to get the sprouts.  This results in the cream machine above your getting filled.  Use NAIL with the cream machine above you to burst a hole in it.  Now fill up your EMPTY FLASK with cream, so you have a FLASK OF CREAM.  Now leave the dairy. 

CITY LIMITS

Walk left to Downtown Kyrandia. 

DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

Enter the middle building at the top of the screen, which is the Fish Cream Parlour. 

FISH CREAM PARLOUR

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Talk to the Merchant, who will ask you for some cheese.  Use CHEESE-MAKER on yourself.  Pick up the CHEESE, and give it to the merchant.  Talk to the merchant again, and ask him to make you some sandwiches.  Unfortunately, the machine is broken.  The machine he’s talking about, is the huge, toppled-over fish structure behind him.  Use the CRUTCH to repair the machine.  Talk to him again, and ask him to make you some sandwiches.  This time, he’s out of ingredients.  Throw EEL, SESAME SEED, and CREAM into the machine’s hopper, and he’ll make you a FISH CREAM SANDWICH.  Pick up FISH CREAM SANDWICH, then leave the parlour. 

DOWNTOWN KYRANDIA

Enter the Toy Factory. 

THE TOY FACTORY

Head up through door in the back wall, into your apartment. 

MALCOLM’S APARTMENT

Search under your bed for the CRUMPLED PORTRAIT of King William.  Now leave your apartment. 

THE TOY FACTORY

Jump down through hole in the floor, down into The Cellar. 

THE CELLAR

Go through door at top of the stairs, into The Old Town Hall. 

THE OLD TOWN HALL

Talk to The Voice Of Reason statue a few times.  Use CRUMPLED PORTRAIT of King William with the magic cabinet on the left, and watch the scene as King William confirms your innocence.  Talk to The Voice Of Reason statue again, and give him FISH CREAM SANDWICH.  He’ll teleport you to the Fish Cream Parlour, where all the Kyrandians are assembled. 

FISH CREAM PARLOUR

Use CRUMPLED PORTRAIT of King William with the magic cabinet on the left.  Again, watch the scene as King William confirms your innocence. 

Now sit back and enjoy the ending.  Congratulations on completing the game. 

Don’t forget to watch the End Credits - very amusing!
