Tim, I’d love to be able to lead a playthrough of Fright but my professional and family duties leave little time for games as it is and I would want to do it right.

I would like to nominate Lost Lands: the Golden Curse as I liked it’s predecessor so much I’m sure it will be a good choice for a complay.  Considering Four Horsemen was just played it may not get many votes this time but at least it will stay on the list.

5 Emerald City Confidential Sefir (leader) Tim, TimoviemMan, Becky, furgotten
3 Fright Tim (leader) TimovieMan, furgotten
3 Beyond Light Advent Becky (leader) Tim, furgotten
2 Azada in Libro Sefir (leader) Tim
2 Shiver - Poltergeist Tim (leader) TimovieMan
1 Lost Lands - The Golden Curse Dara100

Eternal Journey: New Atlantis cluelass (leader) Not yet renominated nor a confirmed leader

Nice start! I will nominate one or two games in the next few days as well.

So far the nomination mix is quite eclectic. ECC is the fence-sitter game. Azada is definitely casual, but with no HO scenes. Fright is a good game on its own, but might contain one of the more unusual bonus games I’ve ever played. I’m a big fan of dystopian movies dating back, at least, to Logan’s Run. With the exception of Wishmaster, most dystopian casual games I’ve played never really hit the right theme. I think Advent comes pretty close.

Dara100 has nominated the new Lost Lands game. I’ve played the demo. (See a very short review on the Casual Games thread.) I haven’t played enough of the actual game to know if I want to lead it.

I could lead Eternal Journey: New Atlantis.  I also vote for Emerald City Confidential and Beyond Light Advent.

6 Emerald City Confidential Sefir (leader) Tim, TimoviemMan, Becky, furgotten, Lady Kestrel
4 Beyond Light Advent Becky (leader) Tim, furgotten, Lady Kestrel
3 Fright Tim (leader) TimovieMan, furgotten
2 Azada in Libro Sefir (leader) Tim
2 Shiver - Poltergeist Tim (leader) TimovieMan
2 Lost Lands - The Golden Curse Dara100, Tim
2 Eternal Journey: New Atlantis Lady Kestrel (leader) Tim

I will nominate one or two games in the next few days as well.

We’re moving along. Lady K, fresh from her stint as leader of the Autumn Challenge, has exited rehab, has renominated New Atlantis and has offered to lead. I don’t know what to say. Standing Ovation for Lady K! I don’t know how you did it, and still show up here asking for more.

I’m sure there is a connection. But it is interesting to note that four of the nominated games are Casual Friday games. And one is the sequel to our last CCPT, which was also a Casual Friday game.

Am I influencing the games I would like to replay as a group? I certainly hope so! But I also hope I’m showing the really good games on AGSotD. Trying to lure in a few non-casual players that entered the ECC discussion.

Re: Emerald City Confidential, I’m a little surprised that we haven’t seen more people joining the vote. Particularly people who haven’t joined a playthrough before.

I say that primarily because the ECC AGSotD is still about midway up on the first page. Plus it’s currently received over 700 views, which has to be some sort of record. If only 1% of the views said “I’ll give it a shot.” that would be seven new players.

I’d also like to vote for Fright, Azada In Libro, and Lost Lands—The Golden Curse.

Many strong entries, IMHO.

I was just about to post a review of Golden Curse on the Casual Games thread. I’ll try to get to it later today. The quick version: Golden Curse is identical in style to Four Horsemen. If you played the last CCPT, you will have no trouble with the new game’s interface. They story is a riff on the King Midas curse. It seemed to me to be quite a bit longer than Four Horsemen, but that may simply be due to my playing it for the first time. The bonus game is an adventure version of the backstory of a minor character who’s backstory we were told in narrative form in the game itself. Thus, unlike Four Horsemen, I don’t believe the CE is worth the additional $.

Today was the first “No change” day.

WE still have a few regulars, plus a few newbies who have failed to check in.

You can still play if you don’t vote. But, per past policy, if we go three days without any new votes, the voting will close.

Side note: It was decided that we would vote, but hold off on the playthrough until the “dust settled” I believe was the term used. So, I guess it’s possible to leave the nominating/voting process open until Sefir closes the ASA playthrough. FWIW I am still “technically” participating in that playthrough, but have fallen so far behind that it may be January before I finish the game.

I’m more than OK with keeping the voting open. I just won’t post any new vote totals unless there is a change.

I have no problems either way. I can still handle both of them and I’m in no hurry to close the ASA AGCP. Many people still play it, Simon still provides a ton of info and I expect lots of discussion after the game’s finale.

It really had less to do with you leading both, but more the other players who would be playing both. So, when that thread closes there’s a clean slate. And even if a new “Time for a new community playthrough” thread opens, ECC will likely finish before a new adventure is chosen.
