but seriously, im getting kind of an uneasy feeling about all of this. It strikes me as odd that jane doesnt know why the publisher isnt announcing it, and meanwhile they plan on releasing it in 2 months.
Big publishers are busy with big games this time of year. I suspect we’ll hear more when things quiet down in December or January.

Wrong. The game is still set for a December release. In Jane’s early October update she said that she expected the announcement to come by the end of the month, and was saving her monthly video for that.

@ zane - don’t worry, friend. Jane said that it’s like being an airplane in a runway queue. They’re all set for an announcement, but I guess the publisher has a certain schedule in mind. It’s coming soon, I think.
A Halloween announcement would probably be appropriate.
I’m just speculating as to when they’ll announce it, but it’s pretty typical for these sorts of PR concerns to be out of the creator’s hands when big publishers are involved, and I don’t think it’s cause for concern.

She *should* know
She has said that the reason is that the publisher has so many games released now so that they need to wait in order for the whole PR department to be available since this release is going to create a lot of buzz.

Well, there’s a new Kickstarter email today, but still no mention of Mystery Game X. Oh well.
