[Archived] Time for a new community playthrough?
I’ll be happy to play either of those games!
I could have sworn I wouldn’t do this, but since no one else has volunteered I will keep the tally this round.
I will also propose:
Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island
Made by the same people that also made A Vampyre Story, which we have already had a very successful CPT of.
It has all the same qualities that AVS had, but this time with ghost-pirates and Vooju instead of vampyres, and no less than three protagonists for the price of one.
Memento Mori 2: Guardians of Immortality
One of my personal favourite games of the recent years, and also the game I covered in my very first AGSOTD.
Note that even though it is a sequel, and there are some references to the first game, then it is not a requirement that you have played the first game.
Overclocked: A history of violence
The title really says it all.
You are playing as a psychiatrist who investigates why a group of teenagers has suddenly gone berserk. Large parts of the story are told in flashbacks when you are interviewing them.
I will also offer to lead all three games.
You have to play the game, to find out why you are playing the game! - eXistenZ
2: Dangaronpa - Mikekelly (leader), Nelza
2: Hotel Dusk - Mikekelly (leader), Nelza
2: Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island - Iznogood (leader), giom
2: Overclocked - Iznogood (leader), giom
1: Memento Mori 2 - Iznogood (leader)
The voting will run for approximately 14 15 days depending on interest, and if there is a tie at the end, a new vote will start between the tied games.
As I would like to play a game that I haven’t played before, I don’t think I’d be a suitable playthrough leader, which makes me hesitant to nominate any games.
You can still nominate a game, even if you aren’t offering to lead the CPT.

By the way, Iznogood should we apply the rules we discussed last time? From the thread http://www.adventuregamers.com/forums/viewthread/7601/P15
Just to have a process to avoid any misunderstanding/disagreements if we end up with a tie?
Ok, so let’s update the process I had outlined before based on comments. In the end we don’t seem to have too much disagreements so let’s see if this can solve the sempiternal disagreements everything there’s voting.
First round: everyone can vote for multiple games
Second round in case of tie,
- Only tied games are eligible for the vote
- Anyone can vote (even people who did not vote during the first round)
- People who voted for only one game during the first round retain their vote for that game but they can recast their vote another game if they so wish
- People who voted for more than one game must vote again but only chose a single game.In the unlikely event there’s still a tie, the leader of the thread or score keeper will decide the winner
Duration of rounds:
First round: 15 days
Second round: 5 days
I vote for Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island and Overclocked: A history of violence

Sure - that was also what I meant with the shorter version I posted, though I probably should have linked to the thread and posted the full text.

I’ll vote for Ghost Pirates as well.
For whom the games toll,
they toll for thee.
I vote for MM2, Hotel Dusk and Overclocked
I’m voting for Memento Mori 2.
I vote for Hotel Dusk.
Rest of my post about the new rules deleted.

Anybody is free to nominate or vote for whatever game they would like to play as the next community playthrough, just post the name of the game in this thread.
The voting will run for approximately 15 days, exact deadline will be posted later. If there is a tie at the end, a new vote will start between the tied games as agree upon in this thread.

First round: 15 days
-but 15 days was a good game
-say 15 days one more time
+1 for Ghost Pirates, Overclocked, and Hotel Dusk.
I’ll lead:
Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine
A truly hillarious game. And if you’re one of those who think that “annoying main character voice drag down what could have been a great game”, you’ll be happy to know that the new version has a new voice actor (and animations).
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
I vote for Overclocked, Ghost Pirates and Al Emmo.
I also propose (and offer to lead) Stacking and Resonance.
Casting a vote for Al Emmo
