I am unsure how the current playthrough is going

It is going very well, thank you Tongue

millenia - 12 April 2014 03:17 PM

but would it be impossible to lead a blind playthrough on one of these new games that are coming this spring? Though I guess no one wants to stop playing when reaching the next chapter Tongue.

It is not a bad idea, and I think many people would be interested in something like that. The problem is however as you also noted yourself, that it is unlikely that people would stop playing when reaching a new chapter, and play the game over a very long time period, so in order for this to work it would have to be a different format.

Perhaps if someone simply made a public blind playthrough, posting pictures and comments as they progress in the game, and invited others to also post pictures and comments for the same parts of the game. Sort of encouraging a detailed discussion of different parts/chapters of the game, without the constraints of the community playthrough?

I don’t know if it could work or exactly how it should be done, but it is an idea that might be worth exploring.

OK, I’m just bringing this back to the first page again. I’ve dropped out of the PD CPT
. I just can’t stand the interface and the story interested my up until the point where it no longer did. I would rather make Still Life cookies than do timed puzzles and mazes. I loved the game at the start, but…..

Everybody seems to be on the last stage of the game. So…

Which will be 14 days from now.

Well, either everyone is waiting until the last minute to finish. Or, they’ve either finished, or, like me, made it close to the end of the game, but eventually found the interface to difficult to manage.

There’s been no activity on the TPD thread for five days.

Maybe it’s time to look at options for the next CPT. And feel free to beat me down. After all, I’ve only finished two of the last five.

Well, it’s only about 4 more days, so I guess we could start discussing it.
Do you have any games you want to nominate?
Or suggestions on what “type” of adventure game to play next?

Since it’s only 4 days, I’ll personally prefer to wait before posting any of my proposals.

Well, since the Pandora Directive playthrough is finished (and in a successful way I may add), perhaps it’s time to shoot the proposals for the next one! Smile

These were the most popular games proposed in last time.

Gray Matter
Tony Tough
Secrets of Da Vinci
Freddy Pharkas
The Cat Lady
Phoenix Wright
JP2
Tex UAKM

(I suppose I could lead a Gray Matter/The Cat Lady playthrough or join a JP2/Freddy Pharkas/Tony Tough playthrough)

Any more proposals?

What about a Sierra classic? Any interest in playing? (there is a lack of community playthroughs except for GK)
I’d purpose one from each series to see if there is any interest:
Larry 7
Space Quest 5
Kings Quest 6
Quest for Glory 4

From the ones above I’ll play Gray Matter, Freddy Pharkas, Phoenix Wright. Cat Lady
I could lead Phoenix Wright or Space Quest 5

From the list, I could play Under a Killing Moon, JP 2 or The Secrets of Da Vinci.  I would also like to propose Beyond Atlantis (Atlantis 2) or The Feeble Files, either of which I could lead.

I just noticed that we haven’t played any of the games by Benoît Sokal in a CP, and since I doubt I will be able to persuade enough to take part in Paradise, and Sinking Island is the game I played most recent, then I will strongly suggest Syberia.

Of the ones already mentioned, I would also participate in Grey Matter, Larry 7, KQ 6 and Tony Tough.

I’d join a playthrough for Gray Matter, Cat Lady, Secrets of Da vinci, Under a Killing Moon, Paradise & Sinking Island - possibly Atlantis 2 if I could get it to play!
