When I was alive, so much “alivier” than today (I saved kids)
I saved kids drowning in the freezing days (now)
But now these days are gone, I’ve got no body heat (and now I find)

I have no idea about the game, though. At first, I’ve thought of The Blackwell series and Joey “flying through the outdoors” but it doesn’t fit with the rest of the clues.

That sounds quite a lot like Fahrenheit!

That is correct, Fahrenheit!
The first verse is for the beginning of the game and the other one the stuff that happens when the plot goes crazy (like Lucas gaining super-powers)
I do like Fahrenheit, but I can’t play Heavy rain. 
From your second clues, I remembered Lucas, after meeting with his brother that he saved a boy (if you choose to do so!) and that Carla mentions a few times that “he’s cold as ice” ! and so on…
It’s a game that it needs a bit of time to get used to, I remember having a lot of trouble especially with Storm chapter.

I’ve put the 25 and 31 dec. in Zork days. Hmm…let’s see…I’ve got lost in those 2 forests too many times, and it took me more the half the game to get another bonding plant, cause only then I was able to return to the valley.

I really loved in that game that if you drunk the Rye it killed you.
