Outcast 2 not dead after all?

It seems that Outcast 2 may still have a chance at seeing the light of day. GameSpyDaily has this bit of news:

ElseWhere Entertainment is interested in developing a sequel to Outcast (PC), now [that] Belgian developer Appeal has ceased to work on Outcast 2 as it has gone bankrupt earlier this month. Currently ElseWhere Entertainment is working on Project Alpha (tentative title), and depending on the decision of Infogrames, which holds the rights to the original game, it may begin working on Outcast 2, or pick put the development where Appeal left it.
