I just hope I don’t overestimate the time I’ll have to play again like I did with The Whispered World (sorry, Sefir)...

I guess that means that this whole voting process is meaningless then? You could have told us before.
Ahem. And Ahem! Adventure Gamers had two parallel playthroughs (one official, one unofficial) before. It’s not meaningless, if there’s enough interest from players that will NOT play the official playthrough, the voting is a good indicator to show which players will play what. If a game wins (and it’s not Toonstruck), and majority that voted Toonstruck WILL PLAY the game that won, than there’s no need for an unofficial playthrough.

Translation: If you vote it fine. If not, screw you and your opinion/voting, we will have our playthrough anyway.
How wonderful! I imagine we could have at least 7-8 community playthroughs at the same time running in the site. Have it your way. There is no way in having a voting process.
I imagine every 2nd, 3rd,etc placed game in every voting could have their playthrough at the time from the last 4 years!! We would just had to say “Nah!! Who cares about voting or preferences”
We were really such fools for not doing that…
Sefir, the talk of the unofficial Toonstruck playthrough has been much before the new voting started. I’m not the one who proposed it here. I gave you an example of two parallel playthroughs, and I agree that “three’s a crowd” very well goes with forum playthrough (well, perhaps 2 + 1 casual playthrough could pass )

The voting represents the game in which the majority wants to participate. Saying that “we will have a playthrough of a specific game anyway, no matter what your vote or preference is” (for any game) shows disrespect, to every person in every voting whose preference was not chosen. Instead, they waited patiently until their prefered game was chosen to play from the majority.
I vote for either Toonstruck or Blade runner (but not sure how much free time I’ll really have to devote to this).

So there is some precedent. My concern was that a game series would last for an extended period of time. E.g. longer than two months. And boredom might set in. Me, I’ve not played any Blackwell game before. So it will be fun from start to finish. But for those that have played most or all? Might their patience run short?
It wouldn’t take longer than many other CP’s, though I haven’t even begun to think of a schedule for it yet. Anyway if people do get tired of it, then we can always cut it short, but I don’t think that will actually happen.

*Sigh* If I’m not careful then I will just end up leading all the playthroughs in a long time.

If anyone does plan on making some kind of unofficial playthrough, then I will strongly recommend that you find a significant different format for it, otherwise we will just end up with two playthroughs competing against each other and splitting the participants.
And I agree with Sefir, it is somewhat disrespectful to start talking about it here in the middle of the voting process for the next CP.

There is some confusion, caused by me. I was cutting and pasting from the last playthrough vote.
Atlantis 2 and Beyond Atlantis are the same game. I didn’t notice that I had mixed the two together until Lady K nominated BA.
