I just finished Chains of Satinav. The game managed to give me that strange feeling of loneliness that you also get after finishing a good book. You wonder what the characters will do next and you are sad that you won’t see them anymore. Not many games achieve that.

I know that feel. Bittersweet sadness.
No game made me feel that way more than I did after finishing GK3. The Last Express, too.

I started on Gemini Rue today. Man! I got killed 4 times in the first half hour already!
Autumn is turning from beautiful to muddy grey, unspeakable horrors at work (which normally doesn’t bother me) and although I’m pleased with how life has turned out after the kids left home I still miss them.

Gemini Rue seemed interesting but unfortunately I quit playing it today. Too much shooting and other action stuff. Pity, it’s not for me.
This was just on the news:
In the U.S., a 9-year-old girl accidentally was shot by a family member. The man held the costumed girl for a skunk.
The two were together at a Halloween party. The girl was dressed in black and had a hat with a white tassel. Because she stood behind a hillock, the amateur hunter thought he was dealing with pests.
The girl was hit in the shoulder. Although she had to be transferred by helicopter to a hospital, she continued to be approachable.
According to police, the shooter was not drunk. It is not clear whether he will be prosecuted.
