First ever played Adventure: King’s Quest 6.  I had played Maniac Mansion and Deja Vu as a kid and loved them, but KQ6 was the game that really got me into adventure games.  It’s the reason I’m here today.

Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure: early KQ games.  For most obscure I was going to say Hugo’s House of Horrors, but I checked and that wasn’t Sierra.  So I’ll go with Freddy Pharkas

Overrated Adventure: probably the KQ series, though 6 is a total exception to the rule (probably due to Jane Jensen’s influence).  It’s their most well known series but it’s probably their shallowest as well.

Underrated Adventure: Judging by how little they’ve been mentioned in this thread I’d say the Police Quest games.  They deserve more love.

Name an Adventure that came after 1999 that felt Like Sierra: Gray Matter, the Blackwell series, and to a lesser extent Resonance.

I hope the only reason nobody mentioned quest for glory is due to many not considering it an adventure game yet the series is included on this site. So I might have 2 for some in case QFG isn’t considered such

it’s cool to see alot of other people picked rog as the hero imo he was simply given the most personality of any comparable character. those sarcastic responses and his ‘wit’ really connect you to him.

this got me thinking so i wanted to add some of my own…

favorite area/location in a sierra game : sq6 polysorbate lx. i loved the vibe there
best music/soundtrack in a sierra game : conquests of the longbow
best graphics in a sierra game : kq5/sq4 tie. the lush backgrounds of kq5 are some of sierras finest imo.
