Case Files: Behind Closed Doors - An Interactive Murder mystery
Think Ten Media Group has announced that Case Files: Behind Closed Doors, the second installment in the Case Files Game Series, will be coming to PlayStation on June 6th. This single-player FMV murder mystery, police interrogation, and detective experience is a creation of multi-award-winning filmmaker, Ramon Hamilton. The game begins with the dead body of Daniel Murphy and four suspects: his fiancé, her ex-husband, their daughter, and Daniel's neighbor. Players will partner with Detective Martin Ruiz on screen to investigate the suspects and uncover the truth.
Case Files: Behind Closed Doors offers a realistic detective simulation where players will need to observe suspects, sift through evidence, and distinguish truth from lies. The game features multiple endings, allowing for replayability and different outcomes based on the player's decisions. Ramon Hamilton, the developer, explains, "In this new experience, we wanted to provide a more interactive style of gameplay. We took feedback from players of the first Case Files game and from beta testers on this new game and made significant improvements to the formula of what our interactive, immersive story experience could be. Mystery lovers and fans of true crime will find a great balance between realistic simulation and critical thinking tasks that truly place the player at the center of solving a homicide case.”
The game has already received positive feedback for its engaging format, with The Game Hoard stating, "Case Files: Behind Closed Doors delivers on its 'interrogation simulation' concept with a mystery where each of the four suspects feels like a possible culprit and enough twists keep the video watching format engaging."
