The Crimson Diamond: A Cozy mystery adventure beckons

The Crimson Diamond, an eagerly anticipated text parser adventure game with a cozy mystery twist, is finally set to launch on August 15th. This news comes from the game's solo developer, Julia Minamata, who has now been working on the game for over six years. The game, which harks back to the old-school EGA (IBM's Enhanced Graphics Adapter) style, is grounded in a wonderfully charming narrative that's sure to intrigue fans of the genre.

A new trailer has been released to celebrate the announcement, showcasing the game's EGA graphical style and core type-to-interact gameplay. The trailer is a visual feast, giving players a glimpse into the mysterious world of The Crimson Diamond. Check it out here:

The game follows the journey of Nancy Maple, an amateur mineralogist from Toronto, Canada, who hears about the discovery of a massive diamond in the ghost town of Crimson, Ontario. Inspired by her dreams of studying geology and mineralogy, she decides to investigate the claim. Players will get to explore Crimson Lodge and the surrounding wilderness, engage with a variety of characters, and even solve a few mysteries along the way.

The Crimson Diamond is a faithful tribute to industry legends like Roberta Williams, bringing a rarely seen EGA graphical style to the table, coupled with a compelling narrative and engaging gameplay mechanics. The game is set to launch on August 15th on PC and is already available for wishlist addition on Steam.

With its unique blend of old-school charm and contemporary innovations, The Crimson Diamond is shaping up to be a must-play for fans of adventure games and cozy mysteries alike.
