Return of the Obra Dinn (From the creator of Papers, Please)
Pope making magic again.
“Going on means going far - Going far means returning”
That’s a pretty neat demo he’s got there! Gonna be exciting to see this grow into a full game.
Now developing: The Journey Down: Chapter Three
What happened to this game?
And here I was hoping news about the game. But I guess it is an ambitious project for an indie dev, so it might take time.

Ah, sorry about that, but yeah, 5 years is not uncomon for ambitous indies.
Digging around a bit saw there was a recent update on the forum this month. Sounds like it might be this year

At least he seems to be making progress, so I do hope he manages to complete it.
Good news - releasing this Autumn
Finally something concrete. This really is one of the few games I’ve been expecting eagerly.
Aargh… piratey!
The graphics remind me of those very old Macintosh games.
Only 4 years later after having played the demo! I was at the point of thinking it wasn’t really happening. If time translates into quality for a labor of love project, this ought to be really good.
October 18th! So soon
I guess it can’t be more official than this: https://www.gog.com/game/return_of_the_obra_dinn
Reviews are glowing so far. I am excited.
Played for an hour. It’s been insanely fun; I don’t know if I’m going to be able to put this one down until I’m done with it. The mystery is really intriguing, and the gameplay feels fresh and clever. The game’s probably not for everyone, but, personally, it looks like it pushes pretty much all my buttons.
Of course, it could also become incredibly tedious after a few hours. We’ll see. I want to allow myself to feel optimistic for once.
(Graphics took a little while to get used to, but that’s quickly forgotten.)
