Adventure Gamers Challenge! #9: Jack Keane 2: The Fire Within
A clear reference to the Aaargh scene from Monty Python and The Holy Grail?

I played a bit more (until after the second dream).
The dream parts are the most interesting so far. The Hamburg port felt very constrained with not a lot to do.
The second made a lot more sense than the first and had some good bits (Furute Jack, Mr. Shovel).
Jack is a jackass but I guess that’s the point.
The perfomance is terrible- slowdowns, jumps- are becoming annoying.
I have now completed the whole prison break part and the first dream sequence, and has now arrived in Hamburg.
I actually quite like this first part of the game, it might not be perfect, but both when it comes to humour, story and puzzles it works, and I do love these dream/subconscious sequences.
Unfortunately I can really say the same for the next part in Hamburg. As I recall it is the worst part in the game, with both some odd translations and humour that falls flat to the ground. At least that is how I recall it, but fortunately it also gets better again.

Got a bit further now, I haven’t quite finished Hamburg, but I have completed the 2nd dream/subconscious sequence. Once again I like these sequences, but otherwise I’m not a big fan of the whole Hamburg part.

Time is up.

I thought the time was until tomorrow! (don’t know why, it’s even in bold…)
Anyway, won’t be able to finish it today, probably tomorrow.

Too late. The challenge is over.

Always knew Jack Keane would my doom
Unless I can finish it before it’s April 2nd in Pago Pago
There really should be a punishment for failing to complete a Challenge, just to raise the stakes.
Giving up adventure games for a year? Having to play Blue Ice in its entirety?
Time is up.
Not Yet - There is still a couple of hours left.

If you actually manage to finish it tomorrow, then you can consider yourself the winner, if not technically than at least morally.

Most who has participated in these challenges hasn’t completed within the time limit - So there is a lot of people who has to endure Blue Ice

I finished it 3 years ago. To my misfortune.
I’m still in Hamburg, haven’t had much time to play this week (and got caught in a novel, so even less time to play)

You really have absolutely no self-restraint, do you?
When it is your challenge, which I’m sure it will be again soon, then you get to decided when the deadline is, but you don’t get to decide it for my challenge!

Huh? I stated a FACT.

Exactly. And YOU set the deadline at the first of April, 01:49 PM. When I posted “Time is up” the deadline had already passed. Ten days max, that’s the rule. Time for a new Community Challenge. Wilco…?
