Adventure game sound… uh, game
Well, I’m playing it now, so that helped
New one:

That’s the unforgettable main theme of Lost Eden.
(an excellent soundtrack by Stephane Picq)
Correct!
Best soundtrack from a game I never played, I only had the demo but loved the soundtrack at the time.
Your turn
Back in the day I enjoyed playing Lost Eden and I enjoyed even more listening to its audio cd soundtrack.
Next:
Chains of Satinav!
No, the game in question is much older.
By the way, I don’t think this same music is present in Chains Of Satinav too: I still haven’t played it, but I checked the soundtrack on the game dvd and I didn’t find it.
Curse of Monkey Island?
I feel like I should know that one… But the only games I can think of right now that used awful old Greensleeves were KQ 1 and 2, but that was a PC speaker rendition. Still, I think I vaguely remember the AGDI remake having the song somewhere as an Easter egg, so maybe that’s what it’s from…?
But to be honest, I don’t think that’s it. I think I remember playing some game… some time ago… and thinking “oh gawd, not Greensleeves again”. But maybe I’m imagining that. I certainly can’t put my finger on what game it was.
I know I’ve played this game! I immediatly recognised. But I can’t for the life of me remember exactly which game it is.
It’s not from CoMI or any of the KQ games and it’s not an Easter egg either.
It’s true, though, that the music I posted might create confusion, since obviously it has been used in other games in different formats. So, with that in mind, here is another sound clip for you:
OK so I probably didn’t play this game.
The second one reminds me a bit of Inherit the Earth
I am baaaaaaaack!
It may remind of Inherit The Earth, but that’s not it.
A few hints that will surely help: the game you’re trying to guess was released about three years later than ITE, it’s classified also as “educational” (because of the historical/religious background and information shown during gameplay) and it was influenced by the work of a famous novelist.
If that’s not enough, I will post a third and final sound clip tomorrow.
SH - The Case of the Rose Tattoo?
