I would say you’re about right with the release time (I would add couple of years) and 1st-person perspective, perhaps even with a horror genre - but The 11th Hour had a distinctive skeleton hand for a cursor, so I guess that’s not it.

Funny, the first screen seems like it’s a rendered graphics, and the second looks like digitized actual location. For that reason I’m not sure I will find this game in the FMV list. But the screens scream year 1997, give or take.
