You are most welcome to Elk. I wouldn’t call it adventure game per se, but a narrative game with minigames. But hey, what a narrative. I won’t forget their stories…

Here is the trailer so you can check the funny “movement” lol

Your turn, Diego.

Welcome to Elk.

Welcome to… what?

At least it has my kind of family-friendly language.

It could always be worse, remember that.

Here’s a nice forest for the next screenshot:

Note: It’s in totally different color scheme in the game, but I like to ruin things.

Runaway 3!

The real problem with reality is the lack of background music.

Excellent idea to make it harder and more Google-proof! Thumbs Up

I replayed those in the last couple of years, so it was clearer in my memory than most games I’ve played…

Sorry for the delay, I haven’t had a chance with all the Christmas stuff going on.

We have to defend against the machines by any means necessary!

skeeter: here’s a wild, wild guess: China: The Forbidden City?

skeeter_93 - 26 December 2023 06:34 AM

I replayed those in the last couple of years, so it was clearer in my memory than most games I’ve played…

The first one was most groundbreaking of all - at the time, best selling game in Spain, and also the first 2D adventure game in 1024x768 resolution, a point in time comparable to Sierra introducing SVGA graphics for the first time in King’s Quest 7. For that reason, and being all hand-painted, it’s still one of the, if not the prettiest adventure game. I loved also the second and third part, especially the third one which was a love letter to the classic movies, even characters were modelled after actors. The second one I never got around to finish.

Glorious days for Pendulo. At least, they made history (and the first adventure game ever made in Spain if we don’t include “La Abadía del Crimen”, a masterpiece from 1987 you could even play in Spectrum…)

Sorry, not China The Foridden City.

The third is my favourite, diego - mostly for the way the story is told. The graphics are beautiful in all three.

I’m thinking it might be a Nancy Drew game, Skeeter.  Is it The Deadly Device?

I bought this recently and I believe it’s Agatha’s ABC Murders.
