I’m always encouraged to see this one. It’s an indication that the designer was actually considering what the player might be trying to do.

Yes. Smile One tip I always give developers when testing their game is to reconsider certain generic responses. It’s slighty uncomfortable, as it can come across as belligerent, but a well-considered response can make a huge difference in the player’s experience, or the manageability of certain puzzles.

Here’s another line:

“There’s nothing else inside the drawer.”

I’m always encouraged to see this one. It’s an indication that the designer was actually considering what the player might be trying to do.

Similarly: “This stick/branch/knife/crowbar is not strong enough” as you are trying to pry/break something down (usually a panel or a door). Of course, this only brings more questions: how the hell did the character know that without even trying?
