To be clear, KAPIA easily would have been the headline game in January’s video, except it was used in December’s video before the launch date slipped into the new year. (Happens sometimes, but we won’t reuse the same game a second time.)

1) Those videos are someone’s opinions about new games. They don’t even show all games that are coming out, so someone has already pre-chosen those “best” games, and that’s one of the reasons why I rarely watch those videos. There can be real gems that are completely omitted.

We never call them the “best,” simply “five top” games coming out that we feel will be of interest to people, as reflected in their trailers. (Not all trailers are created equal.) And we only include games whose releases we’ve been able to confirm for that month ahead of time, which eliminates a LOT of games that end up launching anyway. (Although, as what happened with KAPIA suggests, such confirmation is not always foolproof. But that’s the goal.)
