Do think LSL is ‘squeezed’ dry by now.
I think this IP is done for me, not that i didn’t like WDDD, but i felt kinda empty after it, with nothing memorable.
I really think its time for a female spin-off outta the LSL series, maybe Patti, or someone else; but in this era, it would be hilarious (and acceptable) to a woman going that kinda adventurse that Larry always had.
Thoughts.
I think Al Lowe did extremely well to squeeze as much as he did out of the franchise. It should have been dead and gone a LONG time ago and it’s amazing it has lasted as long as it has.
A female (possibly lesbian?) heroine would get you half the people complaining about yet another totally traditional IP being “ruined by leftist propaganda” and the other half complaining that whatever it is you are doing is still disrespectful / chauvinistic / patriarchal / etc.
... in other words, lots of free advertisement. Make it happen.
Larry, Gabriel Knight, Space Quest, Monkey Island, Psychonauts, Anachronox and all other ips should be returned to their creators - they and only they can decide what to do with them and which direction to take. Personally I wouldn’t mind playing Larry 8: Lust in Space.

+1 from me.
while some people manage to keep the torch burning, in many cases the original creator is really needed to breath life back to a franchise.
on the other hand, we saw what Ridley Scott did with Alien so…
somethings are better dead
the only franchise i’d really really love to come back to its creator is Gabriel Knight, because it left us with a very annoying cliffhanger ending!
