Diego, nice that you also like westerns…what is your opinion about “Dollars trilogy”?
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is still in my top 3 westerns of all time, Ennio Morricone did amazing job with a soundtracks
Of course, these are classics. Now that you mention it, I missed the second installment - For a Few Dollars More. I also love Once Upon a Time in the West. The music is great, you should also listen The Outlaws music on youtube, they did a great tribute to Morricone music.
Doesn’t Zack McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders also have a yak?
Perhaps, but it’s not 1st-person.

Alright, time to revive the best thread on these forums!
I have a new quiz for you, and it’s a pretty big one.
The rules (same as usual):
1) The file contains 30 pieces of music from 30 different games. You have to identify what game they’re from and where/when in the game they play.
2) Post your guesses in the thread using spoiler tags. You can only make a limited number of guesses per round so that everyone gets a chance to participate.
3) When posting your guesses, please give the song number, using the track sheet given at the end of this post for reference.
4) The selection of games tries to cover all periods (from the late 80s to 2015), various sub-genres and a few non-PC adventures. There are no tricks; all the tracks chosen are pretty memorable (if you’ve played the game).
5) There’s nothing to win!
And that’s it! Have fun.
The first round starts now, you may post 2 guesses.

Alright, time to revive the best thread on these forums!
Nice, but you forgot Dr. Cranium this time:

24. Simon the Sorcerer at swampy’s.
15.Jasmine! - broken Sword 5
yummy, nice quiz, not to mention a great made medly.
but why did you ask for the where of the track or i mean its place at the game, i find this is taking out some of the fun, as i find myself identifying some tracks but still in need to go and start a research about where the hell it was playing.
thanks Kuru for this nice quiz, some answers are coming in little while.

You give just give the name of the game. You get half a point—or you would if anyone were keeping score.
4.TMoS - played at the city slums
19. Blackwell - Epiphany??
i am soo interested to know where 27 do belong.
I’ve just seen this Kurufinwe - I’ve listened to the lovely medley but apart from one tune I just can’t place I just don’t have a clue!
I sense an underlying theme: melancholy. Most of these snippets are kinda….sad sounding.
I recognize a few, but I’ll be darned if I can tell you exactly where they came from. I’m pretty sure there’s a Tex Murphy game involved in there somewhere!
Life is too short to drink bad wine…
I’ll have a couple of guesses:
9 Amerzone - but I don’t know from which part!
11 Moment of Silence - Nuclear Café?
11 Moment of Silence - Nuclear Café?
i think you mean four#, and its just a typo Chrissie, so anyways, since you have gotten it better than me (the placr i mean) i am willing to share its points with you, if the quiz master agrees
The 1st challenge here seems to be distinguishing between the 30 clips of music - I’ve only got to 28 so oooh dear!

No Advie you should have the points (if it’s right) as there were two very similar sounding tracks & one of them came later than No 4 & not a typo from me! so I’ve got the later one wrong but never mind!
