Wrong thread Jatsie.

Dear blogsie, I finally got that promotion and things are going well, but apparently now I have to keep on top of my game with more "velocity". Kids, avoid the corporate world.

Dear Aggie,

I just realised that, at least in German television, "Veggie Burger" is pronounced like "Wedgie Burger".

Jelena: In North America, we call them 'hot flashes'.

Stepurhan: thank you, sir. Much appreciated.

Fantasy: Thanks, hon.

Dear Aggie:

Still stressed. Still miserable. Still working at the print shop... for now. Gonna start job hunting shortly. No idea how I'll handle this. I nearly walked out today. Pragmatic Brain says hold out for better job first, but Emo Brain says GO-NOW-GO-Augghh!!!

Gotta go pick up prescriptions. *hugs Aggie*

On one hand, I wish I had the luxury of being able to find a new job while I still had one. On the other hand, it's been far less stressful to job search while unemployed. I say hang in there until you can't anymore, and do whatever you can to find something new.

Truth is, the decision may be made for me this time around. I've had problems with some of the instructions at work, and I'm expecting that it will lead to my demise, sooner rather than later. It seems like every major job now has some sort of twist that messes me up and gets me in trouble. Too much rushing to keep up with (or at least try, because let's be honest, I'm not anywhere near on schedule most days) the assignments, and I've been missing little details in the process. It's gonna bite me in the ass soon, I know it, and yet I'm too frustrated and exhausted to divert enough energy to ensuring I'm not screwing up. I'm burned out. If I go back there tomorrow and discover I don't have a job, I won't be surprised. I've tried my best, but I just can't seem to keep it all together.

Anyway, I have to go pick up some groceries.

Tonight is the opening night for the play I'm in (The Matchmaker, set in the sixties). It's been a long and unbelievably rocky path here, but our last two dress rehearsals went great and I really think it's going to be an excellent play. I'm playing two characters, which means seven costume changes (two of them less than thirty seconds long) and I'm on stage as one or the other for most of the play. I do entirely different performances for the two characters with my voice and body movements and facial expressions, in addition to having different costumes and only wearing my glasses for one of them and having my hair in a ponytail for one of them. It's going to be lots of fun.

Wish me luck!

Hi Blogsie,

Today I was in the hospital again, and the doctor stuck a needle deep into my knee twice! She wanted to get some fluid out of the knee, but whatever she tried, she didn't succeed. It hurt like hell though. I saw stars and white stripes. After two attempts I had enough. The bad thing is that they really need that fluid, so they will try again tomorrow or early next week.

Isn't it bad luck to wish Mory good luck? Break both legs (one for each character)!

(((tsa)))

Ouch, and ouch again. My previous lower back pain probably can't compare to what you went through today. Will this short-term pain at least help in relieving your long-term pain?
