Nice little read.

About the cursors: Personally, I would love to see a throwback to the old Sierra cursors, but would that really "fit" ? I do see the issue people have with the pie-cursor as it does seem rather intrusive to an extent. I also see the argument for it being there. Perhaps there is a way you can streamline it, that way you can reduce the size?

New screens for you guys!

ADMIN OFFICE
Fun note, check the blood stains on Marachecks CRYO SUIT. Gotta wonder just what he had to do to get that High Speed Neural Drill….
Im playing around with having the suit get dirtier and grimier as you go along in the game. Subtle changes-but I think it will make a difference to the immersion of the player!

COMPUTER INTERACTION.
A screen showing how you will interact with the various computers in the game. I originally had a hacking device, with a mini game attached to it-but it got tedious fast!

AND A QUICK SHOUT OUT!
Head on over to http://www.visionaire-studio.net and download the Visioniare game engine. Its free to use and learn on, and the guys there are really helpful with any questions you have. STASIS is entirely done using the engine, which is the same engine behind The Whispered World, and the latest A NEW BEGINNING (Man..just looking at that artwork makes me drool!). This is coming off like a paid advert (it isnt… ), but I cant show my appreciation enough for the guys behind this engine. Without it STASIS would only exist in my mind.

Superb animations and very Alien feel. Can't wait for a demo.

OneFlesh, Thanks man. You stare at these things for so long that the obvious mistakes tend to blend together! Updated.

Alien is one of my all time favourite movies-Everything about that film from the sound design to the dialogue has influenced me in some way. Having that peak through to Stasis is just awesome.

BTW I read your blog often man! Some really stellar work you are doing there!

Add "aquires funding" to those mistakes.
Best let a few outsiders proofread everything. Spelling mistakes make everything look unprofessional and are best avoided...

Thanks for the replies guys! I'll do a big proper post when I get 5 mins to spare!
The Kotaku article was a really big surprise! My website and mailing list have been going crazy since this morning. I actually had to turn push email off my phone with all the alerts coming through.

We gave you some love too at Voodoo Extreme, even before Kotaku, so I'm sure our readers contributed to that a little bit too.

Keep us in the loop please on preview/review access as you get closer to launch. I grew up on adventure games (Sierra, LucasArts, etc.), and would love to check it out.

Oh yeah man-there's been a ton of traffic from you guys aswell! I'm truly awed by the fact that people are taking the time to post and comment on the game!
