2011 - Horror games that did not make it
So much anticipation & all we got was nothing.
1. The Last Crown 2. Asylum 3. Bracken Tor 4. Silent Hill: Downpour If anyone has other horror games on mind, do add them. |

Hmm I wasn't really expecting Asylum to be released in 2011, I think there's still some time before it's released. Same thing about Last Crown, especially after DF: Lost Souls was released in late 2009.
Oh, but Bracken Tor... grrr..... |

Ben Jordan 8: Relics of the Past!
Still has a couple days before the end of the year though....

I was expecting Gabriel Knight 4, just in case.

There was Coven as well (from the makers of Rhiannon). Don't know what the hell happened to this, as it was due for release in 2010! All I actually played this year was Baron Witless, Nemesis of Blah Blah. Hope 2012 is better.

If horror games don't come out in winters then a lot of fun is taken away. Hopefully we'll get some before this winter ends. |

Agreed. There is nothing better than sitting in a darkened room with a mug of cocoa and fireplace blazing, starting up a freshly unwrapped/downloaded horror adventure. On the other hand, the delays will mean our friends in the southern hemisphere will have their winter all set

It's true, it's true. Asylum didn't make it and all I can say is "we're sorry". It's very difficult to assess the duration of the project with such a small team and so few resources but, rest assured, the game is still on track and should meet your expectations as well as setting new ones.
As for the right timing... As I like to say, it's always winter somewhere in the world |

I (and I'm sure many others) am very much looking forward to Asylum, and I'm more than willing to wait all and any time needed for a quality product from an independent developer. |

Coven is still being worked on. I spoke to the developers a few weeks ago and they said the project is very much alive, just taking a lot longer than they planned.

Great news. Coven and Bracken Tor are my most looked forward to games for next year. Last Crown not so much because I fear it will not be as good as the first and spoil its great conclusion, nor Asylum because I did not really like Scratches.

Ben Jordan 8 didn't make it either! Grundislav Games released only a one location teaser demo to make up for the delay to 2012.

I've no idea what you just said. Please learn to express your thoughts before calling someone "a troll". Merry Christmas.

Right, so ... first quarter of 2012 is nearing its end & we still haven't heard about most of the games mentioned here.

All I can say right now is that we're aiming to release a huge update about Asylum in Gamescom (tangible stuff).
Again, sorry. This is an insanely large game, but we're managing quite alright! |
