Tidus...
I would get Ultima Gabriel Knight The Hand of fate The Legend of Kyrandia Myst and maybe 11th Hour and 7th guest and maybe Pandora Directive, too. But at least Ultima, Gabriel Knight, Hand of Fate, and Legend of Kyrandia, especially if it is the floppy version as my guess these will really be collector's items. (it may be that you down the line you can't play them, though... but you will know that you have these great games...) If you have the money for it, then I'd suggest you get all the games you mention, though... |

I've ordered the original Discworld in the large cardboard box as well. There was one which had everything: maps, manual, installation disk and even two figures of Rincewind and Death. That would have been cool but it was a bit too pricey.
I suppose another game i own that's kinda rare is Beneath a Steel Sky, which is the jewel case version. I think there's a number of 'copied' versions knocking about cuz i ended up getting one off amazon without realizing and i think there's some on ebay too. There only seems to be one genuine copy left which is the same as the one i've got. Makes me proud to have it. I've also found my original cardboard boxes of the Simon the Sorcerer games. 1 & 2 double pack, Puzzle Pack & Pinball. I think my sister has the discs, but i've kept the boxes in my room for safe keeping. And finally, the idea of owning most of the LucasArts classics, even if they are re-releases, makes me proud too means some of them are rare.

You can get all of those on Ebay for under 15 US dollars. Edit: I didnt quite read this properly. Phantom of The Opera is the rarest one of this lot. It can be found for no less than 50+ US dollars. If anyone knows where to get a complete, mint copy cheaper let me know becasue I too am looking for it. The others are more common but I prefer Robin Hood (longbow?), GK, and the Kyrandia games due to the fantastic artwork.

I have Nancy Drew for the GBA. That's hard to find. It's should a rare game that there is only one walkthrough from it on Gamefaqs.com.

Game-wise, I'd highly recommend playing most of those, though. So if you're after them to play, go for it. |

I know this dates me, but I've still got a bunch of the old Infocom games with boxes and everything included, like Wishbringer with the cool glow-in-the-dark stone and letter that you weren't supposed to open until a certain point in the game, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy with the Don't Panic! button, pocket lint, no tea, and I forget what else. I've got Gabriel Knight: Mysteries, that came with games 1 and 2 and a paperback book of Sins of the Fathers. I've got Phantasmagoria: Stagefright. More Sierra games I've got with their boxes include Conquest of the Longbow, King's Quest V and VI, Quest for Glory 4, Leisure Suit Larry 3, the 5 1/2" floppy disks for Ulysses and the Golden Fleece (never could get it to work though) and I don't know what all.
I've got a certificate with my name printed on it for discovering some of the clues in Swordquest:Earthworld for the Atari 2600. How's that for rare? |

Kasmajic, that would be the Peril-Sensitive Sunglasses and the clear envelope containing the Invisible Miniature Space Fleet. It was the first game I ever bought for my Apple ][+. Ah, the memories. An Old Janx Spirit anyone?

Eriq,
I just caught the site about the book you're involved with that commemorates the art of Sierra. Seems like a pretty cool collectible itself and that was the first I've heard of it. Is it still a long way out from being done? Also, I'm extremely jealous of your Sierra collection. |
