The Dig: An underratted gem

This game may be shorter than some of the adventure games out there, but it does have pretty good length and substance for an adventure game. The story is really engrossing, it has good voice acting and the plot gets deeper. You really begin to enjoy the characters which they start with and the story has good character development to feel sorry for several of them. This story is emotional which a good adventure game is supposed to be able to somewhat convey. Adventure games to me should always focus on the story first. The graphics are slightly dated but not totally awful. I enjoyed the point and click interface. The puzzles were a little easy in comparision to other adventure games I played, but they had enough of a challenge to them. To me the most important aspect to adventure games is the story telling and voice acting, which I know others have preference. This covered the story well in a mature way which not many adventure games at the time did. I enjoyed it and could not stop playing until completion. In my opinion, I believe it is one of my favorite adventure games and one of Lucas Arts best games they made.
