Review of F.A.C.E.S. by rafka

Truly menacing. Old style, nothing fancy. The special capability of the main character fits in seamlessly with the adventure. I didn’t mind the running around as it fits with the story and challenge. I didn’t care for the bonus game-it lacks the underlying fear and menace of the main game. Have played it several times thinking since I know the ending I can pay attention to the little bits of business, but then the urgency creeps in and I’m wrapped up in the effort once more. I keep hoping for a sequel. One of the few games where I don’t mute the music as it adds to the atmosphere (the other is Mystery Stories: Mountains of Madness for you Lovecraft fans). Give it a try.
