Unraveling Mysteries in “Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit”

The adventure game Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on September 28th. Announced by Thunderful and Tag Of Joy, the game is inspired by the Broken Sword series and boasts a compelling investigative story filled with secrets, stunning hand-painted scenery, and satisfying puzzles. Set in the beautifully rendered locations of Eastern Europe, it unfolds a fascinating tale of romanticism and conspiratorial intrigue. Players will follow the journey of Milda, who travels to her deceased Lithuanian grandfather's home to uncover a family secret and stumbles upon a complex web of enigmatic danger involving a lost relic, Lithuania’s legendary royal history, and the clandestine activities of the KGB during the Soviet era.

The game offers a variety of satisfying mysteries and puzzles, ranging from enigmatic anonymous messages to logic-testing conundrums. The game also offers the option to change Milda’s outfit and hairstyle, allowing players to further engage in the game's rich hand-painted scenes. The characters encountered throughout the game are fully voiced and bring a unique charm and eccentricity to the world of Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit.

The role of Milda is voiced by Erin Yvette, known for her roles in popular titles like Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, and The Wolf Among Us. Other notable voice actors include Matthew Curtis, known for his roles in Marvel Snap and Unforeseen Incidents, and Denny Delk, recognized for his role as Murray in Return To Monkey Island.
