Spooky Crew: Unmasking the Mysterium Adventure Game

Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium, the new point-and-click adventure game developed by Matt Sanderson, has just released a demo on Steam. This is the fourth game from Sanderson, whose previous works have gained notable recognition. They have been featured in the PAX Aus Indie Showcase, won an Octopix at Strasbourg Film Festival, and been nominated for awards at the Australian Game Developer Awards Play21 and A MAZE.

Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium invites players to join the Spooky Crew and uncover the secret of the Mask of the Mysterium. The game begins with an encounter with a masked figure, leading the crew to investigate a local museum. It offers classic adventure gameplay with modern twists, including different ways to approach puzzles and multiple endings. This game is the pilot episode of a planned series of shorter games, focusing on tight pacing while retaining a sense of freedom and rewarding players for experimentation.

The crew consists of Alyssa, a dedicated mystery solver with a magnifying glass tattoo; Ethyl, a robot with analytical skills; Hector, a passionate and reckless investigator; and Bert, a mysterious character who might be a kangaroo in a man suit or a man in a kangaroo suit.
